Features :
The pickup has an active piezo undersaddle with a condenser mic so its dual source. It has a built in pre-amp as well as volume and blend wheels fitted to the inner edge of the soundhole.

Instrument :
The pickup is installed in my Custom Fylde Alexander which is Cedar and BRW back and sides. I was told by the tech that fitted it that the condenser mic is built in to the preamp and so the instillation was easier???? Any way, easy instillation and now we get to the best bit.

Sound : 10
Its a very loud pickup. With the blend all the way to Piezo you get a smooth rich sound from the bass and the trebles sparkle off the guitar instead of the often sharp cut that comes from other under-saddles. The string to string balance is also better than the Fishman Blend i used to use on my old guitar.
What most surprised/impressed me was when i blended to just the mic. I was sitting on my amp, literally and there was NO feedback. There was absolutely nothing. No hiss or crack even with my AER compact 60 turned to 3/4 volume and the pickup on full.
The piezo gives a warm full sound to the bass and a sparkle to the trebles that i am used to when i play unplugged. The mic gives great clarity to notes and also an airy sound that many mic's don't give.

Overall Rating : 10
If it was destroyed, my guitar would be gone so playing anything else would be pointless but yes i would replace it. I've only been playing for 3 years but in that time i've used Fishman's, B-Bands, Yairi's own pickups and Baggs stuff and nothing comes near. The only thing i can't comment on is battery life but i've played for 6 hours straight and there was no problem.
