Installed on my 1997 Matrin D-15. No modifications to my guitar. It replaces a cheap Korean-made soundhole pickup that hummed excessively!
Although it says to place the pickup under the strings in front of the bridge, you can apply it to any spot on top that sounds best to your ears, which makes it a very versitale pickup!!

Extremely high output for a passive pickup. The sound is just like my D-15, only LOUDER!!!! And no stupid batteries!! It sounds better than most condenser mics. DO NOT WASTE A PENNY ON ANY OTHER PICKUP!!!

If it were lost or destroyed, I would buy another without hesitation! They are harder to find these days locally (which is a pity), but worth the search if you can find one.
