Comments: I would definitely buy this again if it were stolen or vandalized in some way.
I have been playing a couple years, and I'm getting ready to play in front of our youth group.
This pickup sounds pretty much like my guitar sounds through a mic only possibly MORE sensitive or it compresses the sound slightly. It captures nuances of different kinds of string vibration that under saddle pickups just can't (because of the type of pickup and location).
The one problem is that I was sweating bullets installing this thing. The bridge plate is further from the soundhole on a classical than on a western guitar, and I was concerned that I wouldn't be able to get my arm in there, and make it all the way to the plate, let alone retain enough finger dexterity to glue a transducer in a precise location. I used the adhesive strip glue thing because I was scared I might goof up. Sounds fine to me! Anyway, install went easier than I thought, although it was scary drilling a hole in my pristine classical (with no strap pin).
This sounds better amplified than the Ramierez classical with fishman blender that I played at the store, and I would guess that since there's no mic, it is less feedback prone (although I haven't tested this).
Delivery was quick and painless! I can't believe this thing cost only $92.
Karla was great in handling my order.

Impedence or other specs:

Instrument :
Model of guitar or bass: Martin OM-01
Position: bridge
Pickup being replaced: n/a
Other pickups on guitar:
Artists using this pickup:
You musical style(s): Fingerstyle
Reason for pickup change:

Sound : No Opinion
Perceived output level: Surprisingly good - even without a preamp. Awesome with preamp.
Tone: Very natural, balanced sound.
Sonic evaluation: Extremely responsive, natural sounding pickup. I have Fishman Matrix pickups in all of my other guitars - this sounds more 'woody'.

For which styles and positions is this pickup (un)suitable: Fingerstyle (i.e. Alex deGrassi, Doug Smith, Pat Kirtley) - perfect pickup.

Overall Rating : 10
Comments: I wish I had known about K & K before I purchased my Fishman Matrix pickups. I would have saved money and gotten a better, easier to install pickup. Speaking of which, it took less than 15 minutes to install this pickup - I didn't have to adjust the action afterwards either. Customer support is the best - Dieter and Karla are very helpful!!! Highly recommended!!!!

Features :
Pickup features: acoustic under bridge contact
Impedence or other specs:

Instrument :
Model of guitar or bass: AXL acoustic
Position: all positions
Pickup being replaced: none
Other pickups on guitar: none
Artists using this pickup: ?
You musical style(s): Fingerpicking
Reason for pickup change: New pickup installed as a part of experiment to build a good guitar starting from scratch.

Sound : No Opinion
Perceived output level: The sound level without any preamp is equal to a fishman with preamp set flat at 3/4 volume.
Tone: Closer to natural than anything I have heard. And without a pre amp!
Sonic evaluation: A/B with Fishman flat blew it away. Who needs a preamp? Used with a tube preamp helped round the tone. Good balance. Great tone. Natural. Round. Precise. It also has a good amount of punch. From an acoustic pickup that's unusual.

For which styles and positions is this pickup (un)suitable: Folk, country. 35 years.

Overall Rating : 10
Comments: This pickup is attached with crazy glue under the bridge. Glue included. No margin for error. When you seat it you better be sure. It preserves the interior tone of the wood and string resonance gives it a natural reverb. This IS the best. And a great price considering. I doubt I'll find anything this good again.
