Perceived output level: Good , loud, clear and balanced
Tone: i play my guitar in with this wonderful equipment without effects (e.g chorus pedal etc etc ....) The high mid and lows of the preamp are set at "0" position which is neutral and i am using a peavey KBA 100 amp. Output from the bass strings are nice and thick. The high string rings are very well blaanced and when strummed and plucked. Definitely does not sound "quacky" or too bright as most piezo pickups door muddy as due to the tone of wood on my guitar which is naturally bassier. If you wanna hear a sample of how closely my guitar sounds like with the Ultra Pure Western go to the store and get the cd from vertical horizon " running on ice" track "Fragments". You'll get an idea of how close this pickup can get you professionally. Remember that my setting are set @ zero and not yet fine tuned to my desired sound.

Comments: If it were to be stolen i would defintely have it replaced I have been playing for some 7 years and i think its the best pickup i have seen so far in the market comparing its price to other better competions like Bbands/ L.R Baggs and Fishman Pickups. I love almost everything about this pickup further more i have already gotten my self two from the outlet via internet. It money worth spent even for the courier charges. Hearing is believing.
