Sound
:
No Opinion
Perceived output level: it performs well on my Martin, not sure about others, no pre-amp needed
Tone: lacks on bass end, but a little eq helps. Mids and highs are crisp and clean!
Sonic evaluation: As of this writing, it's 16 years old (pickup) and works and sounds great! It doesn't however replace the sound one can only get from mic-ing the guitar. Can really crank it up without worry of feed back (most times).
For which styles and positions is this pickup (un)suitable: can only speak for this application. Also lends itself nicely to effects, if desired.

Comments: If I want *that* sound... I mic the guitar, otherwise I'm very satisfied.
