Tone: trebly
Sonic evaluation: Like any piezo, picks up string noise and needs a lot of gain. But the sound is a refreshing alternative to magnetic pickups. Kind of bright and not too far from miked sound.

Comments: The 273-091 is a "piezoelectric speaker element". It is more delicate and larger-diameter than their "buzzers". It is probably a bit more sensitive.
Easy to use: just pry open the case and solder shielded wire to the two connectors. Better to avoid soldering directly to the element -- leave a little of the original wires in place. Here's some more notes:
