can plug straight into pa board with no problem, but a pre-amp works even better.
I use a Marshall SA50R,Behringer ACX1000, and a Roland JC120.
Classic rock, folk, evrything but rap.
Well balanced, I usaully set all eq's at mid range.

:
Model of guitar or bass: Martin D-15
Position: middle
Pickup being replaced: condenser mic
Other pickups on guitar: none
Artists using this pickup: n/a
You musical style(s): folk, acoustic rock/country; primarily solo
Reason for pickup change: needed a pickup. I got tired of wrenching my back trying to get the mic in the right spot.
Sound
:
No Opinion
Perceived output level: 9; better than I anticipated. I can go direct without a preamp and sound great.
Tone: 8; clear bass & mids; minimal electric edge on the 2 high strings (What to expect; it is magnetic).
Sonic evaluation: I go straight into my church PA and it sounds fantastic! Just the pickup and a Radio Shack XLR adapter plugged straight into the PA system.
For which styles and positions is this pickup (un)suitable: I am mostly a strummer; folk, acoustic country/rock

Comments: If it were lost or stolen, I would not hesitate to buy another. No modifications, no batteries, great sound , low price. Yes, I am more than happy with it!
