Features :
It is a Nanoflex undersaddle pickup which doesn't require any major modification on the instrument except that you have to sand your saddle a bit. It has a small 3V preamp which is glued on the guitar...

Instrument :
I have installed the pickup in a hand made classical guitar, it is not a concert guitar but still it's not bad, it cost me 1500???. No permanent modification done on the instrument... Although the guitar loses some volume when you install the pickup, maybe 5%-10%. That's not much of a problem because you can always have two saddles ready (one with the pickup and one without it) because the pickup can be removed at any time...

Sound : 10
Output level is ok, and tone is pretty good for an undersaddle pickup. The guitar does not sound like with a microphone but the pickup itself gives a great healthy tone. I have used it with a D-TAR Solstice guitar preamp/blender. I think this pickup is great in combination with a microphone, you can always rely on it alone if the conditions you're playing in are not suitable for a microphone(feedback on small stages), but if you have a good condenser mic you can add some natural tone color and air with it and your guitar will sound great... I have rated the pickup 10 in this category, that doesn't mean that the sound is perfect, it's a great undersaddle pickup sound which can be used in every situation...

Overall Rating : 10
I would replace it if it was stolen and I think this is the only suitable solution if you don't want to drill your guitar...
