handmade steel string guitar made in Spain. Solid spruce top, laminated pallisander sides and back, grand auditorium model. high gloss (..brillo..) finish. splitted saddle. fitted with fihman prefix plus pickup.
Asymmetric located round pearl inlays on the frets give the guitar a distinctive look.
six string guitar.
Nothing wrong here, nothing really special either.
Sound

This guitar has a very dynamic sound, with a large possibility of varying in loudness, that i normally only find in classical guitars.
It fits both fingerpicking and strumming. It has a very clear sound, also projects more complicated jazzy chords quite good.
It has a sort of brillant sonority to it. Which in my opinion makes it very suitable for combination with singing. I love this sound.
It does not have that singing sound that, for instance, a taylor has.
Through the pickup, the sound gets of course this typical piezo ring. Fine for gigs, would not use it for recordings, but a mike instead.

i bought the guitar second hand. the setup was great. the piezo element was damaged so i had to have that replaced with a new one. But who knows what the previous owner did, so i do not have an opinion on the factory setup.
Right now everything is fine, so the original action, fit and finish must have been allright.

the finish is hard, the guitar seems pretty solid too. i trust this guitar to last a while. Would even take it on a gig without a backup. (but with backup battery for the preamp :)

the alhambra website is not very comprehensive. I once asked a question about the guitar through a web form, but did not get an answer so far..

I have been playing guitars for about 25 years now. have owned in the steel string acoustic section ibanez, ovation, simon&patrick, and next to tat classical and electric guitars from gibson, yamaha, applause, samick, takamine, squier.
I have found my steel string, at least in this price range. Would buy it again, but the model is discontinued or at least renamed by alhambra.
original new price around 800 Euros. I traded it against another guitar so can not really indicate how much i paid for it.
