Sound
:

I flat pick, finger pick, and sometimes just plain old hammer out a tune. I'll even do some classical even though it's not built for it. The sound is warm and very well balanced. Often I hear of dreadnaughts having too much bass and not enough bright. That isn't the case here. The bass is there warm and filling, but the bright is there as well ready to jump off the strings. I have 4 acoustics I'll not name, but they are well known. When I play several chords and bits for friends on all of these instruments, this Yairi always gets chosen as having the best overall sound.
Action, Fit, & Finish

The action is great. I find I can play this nearly as quickly as my electric when doing scales, and bar chords are easy to complete accross all 6 strings without having to apply a lot of pressure from the wrist. The machine heads and bone nut make for reliable and fast tuning.
Reliability/Durability

Assuming the strings are relatively fresh, I'd gig with this guitar and no backup. I've cracked this guitar a few times with solid force on my coffee table by mistake, the finish is unmarked and the wood is not dented.
Customer Support
:
No Opinion
Warrantly is Lifetime once you register with the company.
I've not needed to use Customer Support. This guitar is so well built, the only thing I could see needing work is the electronics will some day need to be cleaned and serviced.
I've left no opinion since I've not actually used support.
Overall Rating

I've been playing for 25 years. This guitar is the best acoustic in my collection, but far from the most expensive. Personally, I play it more than any other including some that were as much as $700 more.
