I have been playing guitar since 1972 and have had many many guitars. When I first bought this guitar I had played over a hundred dreadnoughts at several different stores and wasn't finding any thing I liked that didn't cost an arm and a leg. I pulled this guitar down off the wall and just loved it's tone immediatley. It was a little bright at the time but I new it would mellow with age. It certainly did. This guitar produces one of the finest acoustic tones I have ever heard. It is great for finger picking and soft or heavy strumming. Every string has great volume and clarity.
Action, Fit, & Finish

I have only had one acoustic guitar in my 36 years of playing that didn't need adjustment from the factory and this is the one. Even my Martin DCAura needed work. The finish on this guitar was beautiful when I put it in lay a way back in 1980 but when I picked it up a month later the guys at Texas Tom's had scratched the heck out of the front soundboard. The guitar still sounded great and they threw in a case to compensate me for the damage. I've lived with that scratch for 28 years now. I give the Action fit & Finish since it wasn't a factory problem

Customer Support
:
No Opinion
I wouldn't think Mr. Yairi would even need a support department given the quality of his product and I've never had to use it.

I've been playing for 36 years and love this guitar more than all of my other acoustics. If it were lost or stolen I'd probably buy a Yairi DY95 to replace it. I chose this guitar because of it's incredible playability and tone and it has never lost either quality.
