I was recently given a 1995 Limited Edition Alzera Model 2533 Guitar with wood finishes it was given to me 3 days ago so i have not learned much about the history or everything about it I only know a few things about it. My dad bought in 1995 new for $1,000 I've checked with a few online guitar stores they said the value has risen %50 or more since the day he bought it. I is a Acoustic/Electric/Brass String guitar it has a clear coated top with wood finishing I am not sure what the finish is called but it looks like smooth polished light colored wood on the top and Oak colored wood with the same finish on the bottom. the controls given fore the amps are Contour minimum 600 Hz, maximum 1200 Hz, Contour, Bass, Trebble, Volume, and MID i hav'nt gotten to try any of these controls on an amp yet the required 9 volt battery is dead, thats what my dad said. The guitar came with a Tuner for the amp. I am not sure what the body wood is called it looks like a light sort of whitish, bright Vanilla, coloring and the neck wood has a Oak wood looking color. I am not sure what the Body Style and the Bridge styles are yet as well as the Tuners and the Neck/Scale but I will do more research about the history and get all the details as soon as i am able to get a hold of a guitar professionalist. It came with a few accessories such as a Tuner, a Black Leather Case, Strap, and Cable.

This specific guitar is my first guitar and I am finding out it is hard to get the hang of but it is suiting me well and I am learning very quickly it does good with songs by artist such as Avril Lavinge, Michelle Branch, Green Day, The Starting Line and some other big name bands.
I dont use amps yet but when I get the hang of the Alzera model 2533 I will start using amps and other effects. It is generally not noisy unless I get going at a faster pace, or i play harder.
It has a good sound to it I can't give a specific type of sound but I can tell you it has a good deep sound at the top and a good high pitch at the bottom that matches the type of music i play very well.
The guitar will make a good variety of sounds it all depends on hand placement and the pace I play at.
I really like the fact that it is limtied edition and is no longer available on the market that makes it rare and adds more value to it. I also like the sound quality, and the finishing touches of the design and the fine wood finishing. I really dont have any dislikes for this guitar!

This particular hand built guitar was put together VERY WELL the manufacturer really knew what they were doing and had alot of patients.
The pickups were adjusted very well to I am proud of this particular guitar I only have had mine for 3 days and it has become a best friend.
The bookmatching and routed bridge were were well done and well made out Alzera is a good brand of classic hand built guitars for well done hand crafted guitars. The guitar does have a few scratches on the back where a belt has rubbed against it but you have to eye ball it for a second to spot them, but overall it had good fretwiring, well aligned braces I havn't found 1 finish flaw yet but as time goes on I might catch one. the wood looks as if it were from "inside of the healthiest living tree in the forest" in other words the wood work is very, very well done. no rust as of yet in these 10 years and I plan to keep it rust free, no poorly cut nut or poorly fitted saddle, I am not sure what a pickup selector is but it isn't noisy unless played quickly or hard, and it has no loose controls. It isn't perfect because no guitar is perfect and like i said I've only had 3 days with it so far since my dad handed it down to me and I still will probably find a flaw somewhere in the design eventually!
Reliability/Durability

This guitar being 10 years old still will uphold live playing and will is very reliable to play rock music with. The hardware shows no signs of being worn down or ready for retirement. The finish is very good it will withstand a few hits before before a scratch is visible, and only a few are.
The strap buttons are still as sturdy as they were 10 years ago. I feel I can depend on this guitar for life. I am not sure what a gig is but I am confident with the durability of this guitar.

I havn't had to deal with this company and neither has my dad but I have asked them a few questions about reliability, how long they last, how much accessories are and stuff like that and they don't put you on hold and they are very friendly I would recommend working with them. There is no warranty on this guitar I don't think I will have to check into that some more.

I have been playing for 3 days my dad who handed it to me has been playing for 10 years, I currently do not own any other gear but I have a band and we are working towards going professional. I don't regret anything because it was not me who bought it but my dad got all the questions in before he bought it that he could think of. I love this guitar for its Value, sound quality, Durability, finishing touches, and the over all style it reminds me of all the times I sat next to him listening to him play my favorite songs as a little boy. I don't in any way, shape, or form hate this guitar. My favorite feature even though i havn't gotten the chance to use it yet I would have to say the Amplifier will be the best feature not just because the controls are on the side of the guitar but because I would love to hear what it sounds like.
I have compared it to other guitars and I would have to say that I love my guitar thought it may not be as stylish as an electric, it puts out good sound, has good qualities and values and that makes up for it. This guitar has everey thing I need. I would just like to take you a little into my music life and tell you about the songs I am able to play with it. When I had first gotten this beautiful guitar my dad told me if I break it, thats it he will never buy me or give me any thing else, EVER again I told him confidently I will take care of it and he sat down beside me and said since this is your first time let me hear what you can do to see just how much you know... Well I started playing before I knew it I was playing the whole Michelle branch song named Complicated (I know other artist have played this song to) with only a few errors on my part and thats how i got started with music, the guitar, and my career as a rising rock star.

I'm not sure that that is the correct model number, but that's what it says on the paper inside. It is an Artist model, folk style body with a cutaway. The body is thinner and seems to be a bit smaller than a standard folk model. It has a very tight grained solid spruce top with the lightest, goldest mahogany back, sides, and neck. Rosewood fret board and bridge. 21 frets, pearl dots and a slash at the 12th. It has Alvarez system 500A electronics. Beautiful woods with a nice gloss finish, single bound tortoise shell back and neck, triple bound tortoise on top. Yhe heel is also capped in tortoise shell with a gold A on it. The headstock is faced in rosewood with a pearl Alvarez logo, and Alvarez is in black on the back side. Gold sealed tuners. The rosette looks like a circle of inlaid wood pieces, along with the stripe down the back. Came with a nice blue and tan Alvarez hard case.

Yeah it's pretty, but how does it sound? Not as good as lt looks, accoustically it lacks projection and volume, not to mention a shimmering tone. But remember, this is a small bodied guitar. It does sound good for around the house playing and when you plug it in it becomes a different guitar! This model was definately made to be amplified, I run it through an Accoustic G60 112, it is perfect for my playing style.

It came from the pawnshop perfect, whoever owned it before me has to be kicking themselves for letting it get away. Alvarez did an excellent job putting this guitar together, it's perfect inside and out. Whoever did the set up is an excellent technician.

I've owned a Yamaha, a couple of Fenders, a couple of Takamines, and this is my fourth Alvarez. Three of those guitars were bought with the idea of replacing this one, but after a month or two they went down the road to a new owner. I'll keep this guitar forever, or until something better comes along.

I've never dealt with Alvarez, I( would like to! I'd like to know more about this guitar, two things that interest me are, the binding, I've only seen this style of binding on Classical and Yairi guitars, and the bridge, which again I've only seen on Yairi's. If anyone out there knows how to contact Alvarez, or knows or owns one of these guitars, please e-mail me.

I'm not a guitar player, but I've messed with guitar for years, and I've played bass for 35 years. I'ved owned tons of equipment in that time and I know what I like! I like this guitar a whole hell of a lot and would hate to lose it, but I'm sure there is something else out there that I just might like a bit more.
