i bought this guitar new. it say's made in korea. i can not find anything in the alvarez listing that looks like it it is black with a spruce top sides are mahogany i think. it is the j style box and cut away. with the 500 type eq and controls. they are located in the saddle, looking down when you are playing. any one that has any info i would like to know about it. the tuner machines are chrome plt. i don't know if they are alvarez or what. it has the tone for my style. i play finger style, i have used it faithfully from day one. it is the best acustic elec i have ever played period. the scale from top to bottom is perfect. right from the box i mean. clear tones bass and top end tribble. some one put me on the specks if you can please. paid 650.oo for it. if it get lost or what ever i will have to have another. email dcaplescaples@netscape.net

i have a gibson and a gretsch they are not any better. the factory set is perfect. did't change a thing.i have had it since 1997 every thing is perfect. i think the eq knobs could have a firmer feel. they seem a bit loose. but it works perfect.

Reliability/Durability : 10
so far i have droped it,wind blew it off the stage and had a few knocks.so far perfect. i play it every sat nite for our show, it has every player wanting to own it. all guest players ask what it is and where did it come from. i need some help myself on that it has make in korea. i have not found it in any other place or catalog.buttons solid strap bought later i have put my gibson away can't hold a light.

Customer Support : No Opinion

i have been playing for more that 40 years. i played this guitar in the store had to have it.if it was lost or stolen i'd go to korea and find the luthier. it has a black finish i like black, the size is just what i wanted i wanted jumbo sound got that i wanted good high end. got that it has clear tone all the way from one end to the other. compared to other guitars. well i have played them all and i mean all. no body out there is making a better guitar period. and for the money hey it does not mean a thing. when you find one that is right you buy it. i am a professional man. i have playey for a long time if i had found this guitar earlier i would have been a better performer today it makes you sound good even when you are not up to par. buy a alvarez and be better.
