Right out of the box - a little thin. With a change of strings to Martin SP Lights - UNBELIEVABLE! I owned a Taylor 714ce and that is why I looked to this Alvarez, same top wood (cedar) - Absolutely beautiful! Talk about bang for your buck! Wow! Punchy notes from the Cedar top, Deep, rich tones from the mahogany. Projection! Wow!

Purchased this guitar because it was a Factory Second. Minor flaw in the top (coloration). The action was a little high out of the box, but that was a quick fix. I have had NO issues with this guitar! All fit and finish is outstanding!

I really like this guitar for its "bang for the buck" value. I would put it up against any 514ce. No kidding! 1/4 of the price of the Taylor. (and I LOVE Taylors)
