This is a "Kaman" guitar just like other Applause and Ovations, etc with a round plastic back. I got this on eBay used but it is a great one! it is an Acoustic-Electric with a 9v operated pick-up with controls for treble, bass, and gain. Mahongony neck is beautiful and smooth. "Electric" feel to the neck, nut size, and action. Sorry didnt measure the nut. Is a single cutaway, black finish, silver hardware, close tuners. For the money (or more) this is a great set-up. I suspect this is an older Applause, maybe 15 years old or so, because the headstock is not like the ones on sale now.

This guitar is for me. I like the sound, epsecially plugged in with a touch of reverb...MAN....how sweet it is. Unplugged it is a little weak and Martin players would get sick, probably. But, what redeems it here is the clarity. Played unplugged at low levels, it has a clear tone that is cool. Unplugged for chord playing, it is not the best choice, but adequate. Works well for finger picking or lead stuff.

This is so easy. I played electric for years before i got this one. No transition problem except on bends, which has to do with the strings not the action. Action is low, and fast....GOOD ALL THE WAY AROUND IN THIS AREA. Oh - this is a beatiful guitar...black looks good on this body style.
