Mine is a honeyburst finnish with nice binding, shallow bowl back, passive piezo bridge pickup. This one was made in Korea and I believe it has a laminated spruce top and Ovation tuners. The neck is very thin and has a rosewood fretboard with medium frets.

The tone is a little weak unplugged but I expected that since it is a shallow body guitar. When you plug it in though and eq it a bit it is a great sounding axe. I play mine mostly through an old 60s Guild Thunder I which is a pretty sweet clean sounding tube amp that compliments this guitar very nicely. As others have said the tone can be very trebly if you leave the onboard tone slider at any setting but almost all the way down, but having done that and boosting the bass a bit on the amp's EQ you can really get a sweet tone from it.

I got the guitar used but it was in great shape with a very nice finnish. I removed all the shims to get the action super low and it plays better than most electrics, pulloffs and tapping are easily done. My stepson has a Celebrity and I think the Applause looks better.

This guitar seems to be really well built and would be a great live guitar I'm sure although I have not gigged with it myself. The finnish lasted well enough from the previous owner and my six months of use and I am confident with normal care will hold up for a long time to come. The strap buttons are tight and solid and I would gig with it without a backup.

So far I've only checked out the web site and read the user manual but that was enough to help me to remove the bridge shims which was the only help it needed to be perfect for my tastes.

I traded my old Fender Gemini II even for this guitar and we both had SKB entry level hard shell cases so it seemed like a nice even exchange to both of us. I'd fall just short of giving this a 10 as you could do better for an electric acoustic although probably not in this price range. I have always loved Ovation\Applause guitars since I owned one in the 80s that my first wife smashed on me so when I found this one I felt like I got back something that I deserved. I sincerely believe this is as good a guitar of better than the Celebrity series Ovations for less money.

Shallow bowl cutaway acoustic electric. Spruce top black gloss laquered and quite duable (you could almost use it as a canoe paddle). Kaman preamp, passive-no battery. This guitar is very well made and quite durable. I used it as a travel guitar for camping etc. The only repair I made was to change the input jack and adjust the bridge at the upper E string--it was to low and buzzed.

A little shallow unplugged. Not very dinamic. Passable plugged in with some EQ adjustment. I didn't buy this guitar for its range of tone. I lowed the neck and action, which is very close to my expensive jazz boxes. 1 11/16" nut. slim profile and smooth. You can lower the action to almost electric demensions.

Won't go over the basics (all other reviews have them), it's the black grand piano finish version (SEXY!!). Got a case with mine (extra) but am including that in price cuz can't recall the separated items. Anniversary gift from my wife - she just said go and find the acoustic guitar you want and I'll buy it for you! I played everything I could find and chose this. NICE WIFE HUH??? I love her...
Nice feature not mentioned by others is the electric-guitar style strap mounts. You can use the same guitar strap for your Les Paul (I do...). Although this guitar would benefit from an active eq built-in, the passive piezo pickup is incredible sounding and it does have tone and volume controls, so I'll give it a 9.

Fantastic sound. Compared to other acoustic-electric guitars in it's price range there are only one or two noname models you might find that sound better, but then you're deling with ugliness, crappy playability, etc in those other guitars. My Applause/Ovation doesn't sacrifice playability or looks (read below) and still has VERY nice sound. Ditch the stock strings, get a set of Dean Markley classic bronze 11s on this thing and it'll sound as beautiful as any other acoustic (even without being plugged in). It's worth it, those are THE strings for this guitar - don't mess around with anything else. I have a Vox ad50VT real-tube modelling amp and this thing is beautiful through it. Using the dumble setting this guitar shines, or using the fender bassman with the can rolled off - again, wonderful and full.
There are much more expensive guitars that sound better - but price-for-performance this guitar's a 10. I give it a 9 only because if price is no object then you CAN do better, obviously.
Quick lesson, especially for acoustic guitars. You want more tone, richer bass? Get well made heavier gauge bronze strings. Thinner strings sound quite thin on this guitar - don't waste your time, and never put electric strings on it... just won't have any tone at all. I haven't done that, but I know someone who did - he just didn't know what he was doing.

INCREDIBLE playability. Lower action and better setup than any other steel 6-string acoustic I've ever played. And I've played a lot...
Finish is beautiful, fit is great - I have no problems with my guitar, it's better put together than my Kramer electric.

Perfect so far - gigged with it tons. We'll see how it holds up with my 11 gauge strings now (heavier but way better sounding).

Best acoustic electric guitar you can get for recording and live stage use - amazing pickup, just needs bass turned up on your acoustic amp.
and for all the fools who tried it on guitar amps with the drive/gain/overdrive/volume cranked... don't be crazy! It's an acoustic guitar!! Try that with ANY acoustic guitar and you'll find the applause feeds back LESS than most other acoust electrics because the back isn't resonant. This guitar is BETTER through an amp than most - but you have to know how to use a guitar amp first...

2004 Applause AE-28. Made in China. Single cutaway. Passive electronics with a pickup in the bridge. One volume and one tone control. Super shallow bowl. Tuners have ovation stamped on them. They work well ,so far, whoever they are made by. Body and neck binding. Headstock is left in a satin finish as well as the neck. The manual says the neck is mahogany but I've never sean mahagony that looks like this. I would guess either a maple or ash. Rosewood fretboard. Pretty basic stuff.

I purchased this guitar to have something to carry around to campfires, parties and perhaps to use occasionally in church. I purposely did not intend to buy an expensive instrument that I would constantly have to be baby sitting. Yet I needed something that played well and sounded halfways decent. The sound on this guitar is good. Not great, but good. Unplugged, it has good balance on each of the strings and projects well high to low. Perhaps a tad bright, but that's Ok because it will cut through when needed rather than get muddied up. When plugged in, it is very good. I find that if I set the amplifying controls to flat or equal boost on low, mid and high it works well. If you just plug it in to settings you were using on your electric, be prepared to cover your ears as the sound is extreamly top end. I have found though that that is not uncommon with guitars with a piezo type pickup mounted in the bridge.

I purchased this guitar new from a dealer on the internet. It was shipped via UPS out of the USA. I suspect that the dealer never even opened the box from the factory and just forwarded to me. I say that because when I received it there were lots of factory tags and packaging that you wouldn't normally get if bought at a store. Having said that, these are my impressions. Set up was minimal at best. The strings were all slack as shipped from the factory. The strings were tarnished/corroded so bad as to be almost unplayable. Initially the neck looked fine but when tuned to pitch it took on a bow which although was within spec according to the manual was too great for my liking. I cleaned up the strings best as I could and adjusted the neck with the tool provided to where I like it. I left the stock strings on for about a month until I was sure the neck had set at the tension provided. I then restrung it with the set of my choosing. I also removed one of the bridge shims to lower the action to where I like it.Much better! REALLY good! It is impossible for the factory to anticipate the way you will like your guitar setup so they do the best they can buy choosing a medium action when sent out. The great thing was that it really didn't take a lot to be able to make it play the way I like. Unfortunatley this can not be said about other makes some of which cost 2 to 3 times what I payed for the AE-28. The finish is good. No scratches or dings when I received it. There were some things though that were apparent. There was glue run on the fretboad which I remedied with 000 steel wool and lemon oil. The frets needed a good buffing, although the edges were acceptable - you won't wreck your hands as you move up and down the neck. Nut was good - real good for this level of instrument. Tuners - good - so far. Bridge - nicely done. Some overspray from the body on to the binding in certain parts - nothing major- just some. One scratch on the binding probably buy the tooling but I think if I take some time this could be buffed out. I ordered the one with the honeyburst finish and it is very well done. The only problem with it would be that although the "surface" is perfect there are actually imperfections in the wood which show through depending on the way the light hits and reflects off the top. I am sure that they didn't use the best grade of woods in an instrument costing so little but it's just something that I noticed. I know this is getting pretty picky and I really can't complain for the cost of the instrument.

I have been playing for close to 40 years. My other guitars include a Gibson Les Paul and A Gibson 335. When I went looking for an acoustic I didn't want to spend a lot of money but, I was not willing to compramise playability. The AE-28 fit the bill. It plays as well or better than many instruments costing 2 - 3 times as much. Are there better instruments out there? Of course! but for the money, this is really hard to beat. If it were lost or stolen I would DEFINITELY look at purchasing another. I really love value and this guitar delivers boatloads.

The guitar is made in China, which doesn't mean much to me except to note that the margin of profit on these things is probably VERY high. The woods it's made from also mean little to me (largely because I've never paid much attention to the acoustic qualities of a tree), but for the record and because you're eager to know: top is laminated spruce (listed in Arbor Day Foundation's swimsuit issue as one of the ten hottest trees), mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard (including 20 attractive frets), solid walnut bridge and Lyramold(TM) bowl (a space-age polymer which might make this guitar suitable for use as a TupperwareTM container if you should tire of making music). Incidentally, this super-shallow roundback gives the guitar a very thin profile.
These qualities tell only part of the story. Of greater interest to me are some of the other features, which in my opinion separate this instrument from others in its price class. Firstly, there's the bridge nut (the slanted, slotted part of the bridge that holds the strings in place). It's removable and is equipped with a pair of shims which can be removed as needed to adjust the action of the strings (shims can likewise be added for the same purpose). Secondly, the neck is fitted with an adjustable truss rod. Thirdly, and this was a deciding factor for me, the internal electronics allow the instrument to be amplified. Lastly, the body has a cutaway to allow access to the entire fretboard (this was also a deciding factor for me).
Final items of interest include exceptional tuning machines, a surprisingly attractive rosette (the decoration that circles the soundhole) and overall sturdy construction.
Sound
:

When unplugged the guitar projects its sound surprisingly well. It doesn't quite boom like a handmade archtop, but there is sufficient volume to fill a medium-sized room. While the body is quite shallow, it seems to also be cut very wide across the top at the bottom (congratulations if that makes sense to you) to provide ample space for the sound to bounce on its way out. Although the level of volume the guitar produces suits my playing, there's an unforgivable lack of dynamic range in the tones. Low frequencies fall flat on the floor while the higher end tends to bristle quite a lot (almost beyond the range of human hearing). This lack of tonal balance deducts one rating point in this category.
Now follow me to the amplifier and we'll plug in...shall we? The above complaints are almost entirely cancelled by the lush tones that emerge from my amp with this guitar. I use a VERY old, VERY beat-up Yamaha Budokan practice amp (almost fits in the palm of the hand) and there's no way that little box produces these sounds on its own. I know literally nothing about guitar electronics and it's obvious to even me that the electric guts of the instrument are well designed. Ironically, it's this plug-in capability that deducts the other point from my rating. While the sound from the internal pickup is quite good, it takes a good deal of fiddling to achieve optimal sound. Unadjusted the trebles are a painful experience, liable to perforate ear drums or make dogs run away from home...or both. The built-in tone adjustment overcompensates (in either direction) and it's left to the equalizing capabilities of the amplifier to settle the noise. Once found, though, the sound is exceptional.
Action, Fit, & Finish
:

ACTION: I tend to find complaints about a guitar's action fresh from the factory to be unjust. No one on the assembly line has the slightest idea how any of us prefer the height of our strings. The best they can do is aim for the middle, and that's just what they did in this instance. Not impossibly high, not buzzingly low. It was a tad high for my playing style, but that was easily remedied by removing one of the bridge shims (which was done by a professional with long hair, excessive body piercings and a pretentious attitude in a local guitar shop. I blame his appearance and disposition on the Applause AE-28. one point lost). It was definitely playable straight out of the box.
FIT: Ovation guitars (and their Applause stepchildren) are unique for their roundback design. This particular model has a very shallow bowl, and supposedly the rounded shape serves to project the sound. I can't dispute that. The volume is quite good from such a thin body. There is, however, an odd idiosyncracy of the rounded body I hadn't considered. I tend to play with a guitar on my lap much of the time, and I find this one creeping from my lap toward my knee as I hold it. It sort of rolls away from me, the top angling upward to face the ceiling as I strum and twang. The back surface of the guitar is roughly textured (presumably to counter this rolling behavior), but it doesn't quite keep it in place. I've adjusted my playing slightly to compensate (periodically pushing the guitar back into place on my lap between strums). Some players might find this to be an intolerable design flaw. If you mostly like to play sitting down, think twice about this one. You might prefer a traditional design. On the other hand, though, this same characteristic has an equally unexpected benefit. I don't sit exclusively to play, and when I do have this guitar strapped on I notice an unusal versatility of movement in the way it rests against my body. The roundback shape allows me to roll the guitar at different angles to accommodate different kinds of left hand technique. Pitching it forward and backward as I play makes certain things easier. This probably doesn't make sense. I hope you have a vivid imagination.
FINISH: Cosmetically the guitar was nearly 100%. Out of the box I found the logo on the headstock slightly marred. There was also a scrape on the textured Lyramold(TM) near the back of the neck. There's also a very shallow dimple on the top. These things don't bother me a great deal, since they don't affect playability in any way, so I've just overlooked them. These things may be a symptom of shoddy quality control...or maybe it was just a bad day for someone at the factory. Where it truly counts, though, everything is in good shape. The edges of the frets are all smooth. The join of the neck to the body is superb (no signs of runaway glue or slipping screwdrivers). The bridge is seated very well into the top. The black finish shows no signs carelessness. It's a very attractive instrument.
Reliability/Durability

Mostly every component seems built to last a long while. There's no play in the tuning machines. The strap buttons are very firmly seated. All the seals and joins throughout are without defect. The finish and coating are very thick and thus far remain impervious to my flailing pick. In my hands it feels like a very solidly built instrument...
BUT!
In light of the overall quality throughout the construction, I was surprised to find the control panel for the pickup to be so flimsy. There are two slider switches (one volume, one tone) built into the side of the body, and they feel like they require the gentlest handling to remain in one piece. Rotating knobs would've made more sense. With rough playing I can see these sliders sailing across the room as my elbow swings past. They not only feel delicate, but they have what I deem to even greater flaw: the slots the sliders move in are wide open gaps (there may be felt skirts inside, but I neither see nor feel them). I expect that over time dust will accumulate in them, damaging the internal electronics. It's an unfortunate festering boil on an otherwise lovely instrument. I may ultimately design some sort of cover to place over the switches for when I'm not plugged in. I'll also be buying a hardshell case, which will reduce the dust potential considerably. But still...
Regarding reliability I'm sure I wouldn't think twice about walking onto a stage with this guitar.

This one comes with a 1-year warranty, which is unsurprising considering the low price. With proper care (and barring disaster) I expect it last me a long time.
Customer service with this outfit seems sketchy at best. A visit to the Ovation website reveals that they're either emabarrassed by the Applause or just aren't interested in publicizing an instrument that doesn't cost $1,637.00 or more. To find any official mention of the Applause I had to conduct a web search, which led me to Kaman Music's site. Buried there I did find the Applause. Unfortunately, they don't even give it a web page of its own. What you get instead is a colorful brochure in PDF format. That's it. When a company goes out of its way to keep their customers from learning about their products, it's typically a bad sign.
I have attempted to contact them. I had a question about the effects a humid climate may have on this guitar, so with great difficulty I found an email address (which may or may not have been the appropriate address for my question) and asked for advice. They never responded. I wrote again. No response. Oh, well. That's what you get for having the gall to spend only $200...
To their credit, however, I must comment on the owner's manual they include. It's surprisingly detailed. (as an interesting footnote, the back cover of the manual gives ovationguitars.com as their web address)

I've been playing, off and on, for more than twenty years. Over the years I've owned mostly battered second-hand acoustics (replete with masking tape and cigarette burns). This is my first halfway decent one. Barely a year after I started playing, someone I knew in high school got one of these and I played it for about five minutes one day. Since then I'd always wanted one.
I did a fair amount of intensive shopping before choosing this guitar. In the end it was the cutaway body, the electronics, the Ovation reputation and the memory having played one all those years ago that loosened the hinge on my wallet.
I'm glad I bought it. It's beautifully designed and it sounds quite nice. I almost bought a Telecoustic, and I'm glad I didn't. (I wanted something unusual, you see)
I hope my comments have helped to narrow down your search. Good luck.

Not too loud... kind of soft, bright sounds when unplugged, but you have GOT to plug this in to appreciate it. IT IS GREAT. NOTE: use a small acoustic guitar amp, not some big distorted vacuum tube dinosaur. I use a little Peavey KB/A 15, which works GREAT !!! Very clean, warm tones, but a bit trebly. Sounds best when set on low tone on the guitar and boost the bass on the amp to kill the trebliness a bit, which also all but eliminates any static (noise gate devices would probably work out very well for this too). I love using a chorus pedal with the acoustic sound to bring out a rich, luscious flowing tones.... like an orchestra of guitars... ooooh, so nice. Or you can easily dial in a jangly 60's sound. But here's the best part... you can crank the amp, stomp on a distortion pedal, and you can get the coolest, most powerful acid rock soundstoo! Feedback, sustain, overtones ... out of an acoustic. Hear it to believe it. Classical and Folk and Rock, and everything in-between, all in the same little set-up. Getting so much versatility, for so little cash outlay is truly AMAZING !!! A beginner's dream... makes the overly equipped proplayer a little jealous of the bang-to-buck ratio !!

I believe this Applause/Ovation, AE-28, was made in 2002, in China, as it's printed on the lable within the soundhole. It has 20 frets on a rosewood fingerboard attached to a narrow Mahongany neck, that's as straight as an 'arrow', easy to finger and play, although good action for an Acoustic, somewhat rough in comparision to an electric but that's to be expected,(I will be getting that fixed). It has the 'dovetail/body joint' connected to a single cutaway laminated Spruce top. My particular choice of color was black and it is hard to keep a shine on it but it's still really nice to look at, as the guitar is made to look and feel expensive. It has a bounded body and neck, and the soundhole is surrounded by a rosette pattern that you'd expect in more expensive guitars. (In fact, it has the same look of Mr. Robert Fripp's, of "King Crimson" fame (I say that with the highest respect), Ovation) . Of course it has the "Lyramold" roundback, this particular model is the shallow bowl and truily doesn't have the the quality of sound, 'acoustically', that one gets from a Dreadnought or the deeper bowled Ovations. Back in the days when I had money to spend on higher quality guitars, I actually owned an Ovation / Adamas, acoustic/electric, that the 'tax-man' got (that's why in my older , more 'money cautious' years I settled on the Applause), because I liked the sound of the roundbacks. However, comparing the two is impossible...yet, if you were to look at it from a financial point of view, the Adamas then cost around $1200.00 from a friend, (I hope)...the Applause $199.99 and is at least 2/3's as good a guitar from this reviewers opinion, as the higher end Ovation. Then again, maybe my Adamas was a 'lemon' or I just got lucky and ended up with a great Applause. Many of the other specs have already been stated by other reviewers, such as machine-heads etc., they say Ovation but look like Grover, as far as the pick-ups go, I'm not sure, the EQ says Kamann. All I know, plugged in to a simple 19W amp this baby rocks and looks good doing it. Oh one more thing, maybe it's the older model Applauses or my old eyes, but I don't see the 'bridge' on this guitar looking at all 'flimsy' in any way. I should add, that in the days when I owned my Adamas, I never would have dreamed of purchasing a lower end Ovation product, especially the older 'generation' Applauses. However, today, I think that the Applause is finally catching up to the standard of Kamann's better products. (No I don't work for them).

I'm 50 years old, have been playing since I was 14 y.o. ( with the exception of 4 years in there) and like Rock and Roll, Rockin' Country, Folk - rock, R&B, and the Blues. These days I use a simple 19W practice amp with an 8" speaker with no 'nuthin' attached and my Applause and my 'Tele' sound great through it. This guitar may be a problem though, with a larger system, as most acoustic are. I think that if I ever played it to a larger audience than me and my neighbors, I'd need a sound-hole cover for it for sure, as I hear "glimpes" of 'feed' from time to time, when I'm not looking for it. Still, as far as sound goes, plugged in this guitar becomes a 'full-bodied' acoustic, with the deep lows and the rich bright highs. What I don't like again, is the action makes you work too hard in the high end, even with the single cutaway.

I think I already covered the action...needs work, but not bad. As far as the pick-ups go, I was surprised to tell you the truth. All in all from the factory it was a pleasant surprise. (It was a gift for my 50th).

Maybe I'm just used to a heavier instrutment, but this guitar seems awful lightweight to me. I'd be afraid to use it in a gig if it weren't for that really solid looking roundback and the fact that the neck is one of the toughest looking necks I've ever seen. However. I read one reviewer's comments; that he chipped a piece of the head off his guitar and I could see that happening very easily or worse. The head is typical of the Ovation product but with the rounded bowl too, I'd be worried that the guitar would easily tip over if not "pampered". Yes, the guitar looks like a "bull" but needs more caution than your average acoustic to keep it intact. Strap buttons as solid as a rock, tuning easy and doesn't need to be retuned even after hard playing. If I was still playing in a band, yes, I'd take a back-up, not because this guitar looks flimsy but because you never know what might happen. Yet, if I was playing pro, I'd probably have several guitars on-stage anyway.

I've owned a lot of guitars through-out my life, as I've mentioned I've been playing quite awhile now. Acoustically, it doesn't compare to some acoustics I've owned but electronically it's just fine as wine. Still that suits me because when I practice Acoustically, I don't want the 'world' to hear me, but when I play, I want people to listen...then I plug-in. If it were stolen or lost... I'd buy another Ovation product because I like the roundback sound but probably would go myself to a local retailer to check out the specifics of the guitar myself.( This one was a gift... by my choice). What I like about the roundbacks is the unique quality of sound they lend to my playing, still they are irritating in that they have a tendency to 'roll' whether you raise your leg or raise your strap up to your collar bones...(exaggerating). (Play it like a classical guitar and you do just fine). If there's anything I wish this guitar had it would be the EQ's I recently saw on the newer generation Celebrities and Ovations, but than maybe one day soon Applause will catch on to that too and we'll be paying the price!

I play strictly country on all my acoustics. It has a great sound for a guitar of this cost. It cant compare with my Carvin acoustic but does better than my middle of the road Takamine and better than my lower end Martin. I couldnt stand the strings that came with it due to the fact that they were toooooo twangy. I put a set that were purchased from webstrings.com and loved the sound much better!!! I havent had the opportunity to plug it in to a descent amp because I just got back into playing after 4 years of working! I still have a few practice amps and it doesnt sound too bad considering I sold my good stuff when I left the band! I do have to say that I had to adjust the neck after about a month but havent had to do anything since... I usually have to tune it (not much) before I play it if I dont play it every day. For someone that is a beginner to intermediate player you cant go wrong with this guitar for the cost!!!!!!!!!

The action was great, however after about a month I had to adjust the truss rod but that was not a problem. It took about 2 minutes and I havent had a problem since. This guitar is BLACK and gorgeous! Not a mark on it yet and I will shed a tear when I do scuff it somehow!

Very durable! The lyracord (or whatever it is called) is tough as hell! I can depend on this guitar more than my wife! I started playing with a band about 2 months ago and play 3 or 4 times a week due to a gig coming up and I play this guitar exclusively! The only time I put it down is to play the Carvin.

I called Ovation about adjusting the truss rod and they told me exactly what to do. The guy I spoke to however told me that the Applause was made overseas and that the Ovation was made, sounds, and performed much better than the applause. I was somewhat dissapointed that shortly after my purchase that he had the balls to tell me that!

this piece of crap stands up to alot of beatings.......even once it was drop on the floor quite hard......it still sounds good......
the jack connector seems to be loose sometimes and i gotto tighten it wif my fingers......i would probarly use it for a gig......but b'coz this is an semi-acoustic.....running thru distortion can give u wailings of feedbacks.......so i rather play at home.....altough i do have a sound hole cover to reduce the feedbacks [and i helps]

This is a deep bowl acoustic electric guitar made for Kaman Music in Korea. It has that Ovation style plastic back and bridge that everybody knows. I believe it was made in 1986. I bought it in 87 and it was my first guitar. Tuners were stock and cheap. Neck is sorta fat like a Gibson. At least much bigger than the exspensive Ovations. Passive peizo pickup in the bridge. It has a volume and tone control.

The great thing about this guitar is that it had a wonderful bassy sound. Very loud and full. When I first got it sounded heavenly. It sounded good through a little 15 watt Fender pratice amp. I believe the pickup was cheap and it had a little bite to it but that deep bowl I think kept it from sounding bad.

The action on this guitar was ok. It was't bad. But it was damn hard to play. I've been playing for over 15 years now and I still think this guitar was hard to finger. Mine was a very pretty black stain with a very nice shine to it.

Over the course of about 3 years it really just fell apart. I still keep in a box somewhere but it's unplayable. The problem with most guitar made by Kaman Music is that the way the bridge is designed the strings pull very hard on the sound board at a different angle than most other acoustics such at a Martin. This causes the sound board to eventually pull away from the X bracing. When that happens every time you strum a chord something inside the guitar buzzs like hell. It's the sound board buzzing against the guitar bracing! The pick up just quit working one day. Never figured that out. The tuners quit keeping it tune. Finally I gave up.

No not under warranty. Had it looked at once. They told me to just to invest in a new guitar. I never contacted Kaman.

It was my first guitar. Sorta like rating the first girl you were with. I'm glad I moved on but I wouldn't trade the experence. How's that? I would suggest anyone to be very wary of Kaman Music products and that bridge problem I mentioned above. If your looking at one of these I would suggest looking else where. Get a Seagull + Spruce. Just a little more money but solid top and really great sound. Very good value for the money. Good Luck.
