front) canadian red cedar, bk & sides) black solid cocobolo, fretboard) african ebony, bridge) cicote, neck )hondurian mahogany,
Top quality assembly,no faults anywhere. This guitar is perfect. Made in Paracho,Mexico..This little town is the Luthiers capital of America.

Sound : 10
Loud, deep basses and crisp trebles. Sharp cutting string sounds.Very well balanced & sustain. Cocobolo is the Brazilian rosewood at this time.Still legal. No other exotic woods beats its sound. Huipe wood selection for this classical Ignacio Fleta model couldnt be more perfect. He hit the nail..!!

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
The 12th fret at first + sixth string height where 5/32. Thats for no compromise in sound. For my taste I lowered them to 4/32. Its very comfortable to play now. It could go lower to 3/32 but it might compromise srtokes and hard playing ..which i am not looking now..!!

Reliability/Durability : 10

These are the BEST classical guitars I've ever played. I've owned Ramirez 1a's, a Ruck, and many others as well as having played just about everything out there in the higher end range. Basically an instrument easily worth 10k and for a fraction of the price. I recently sold my Ruck for five figures and these guitars are better.
I loved the Fleta so much I bought a Huipe Ramirez model also. The contrast in timbre is mind-blowing but yet the same balance and tonal qualities are present throughout all of his instruments.
I'm now in the process of having a 7-string cutaway built. The craftsmanship is superb. I have a spruce top with koa back and sides. The figuration of the koa is out of this world.

The sound has elevated my playing to a higher level. It is exactly what I was looking for. Rich and powerful and distinctly Spanish. The best mids EVER!!! By far louder and better balanced than any other classical I've had in my hands. I can't emphasize that enough. i could seriously write a book on how fabulously responsive they are. When people hear me play now they stop and ask in genuine amazement "how are you getting those sounds?", but I am doing what I always have, The secret lies in the guitar and these guitars will definitely inspire you. I know the world of classical guitars is fickle and highly subjective. I also play jazz and rock and have been fortunate enought to have some very fine high end instruments and vintage strats and Gibson's, etc. So in short, I feel I'm a pretty competent authority when it comes to guitars and these are just some of the finest instruments out there.

Simply beautiful. You can feel the love that went into this highly aesthetic instrument and I have fallen in love with Arturo's work. Only thing I would want to see is an upgrade in the tuners and case. Those points are minor however and do not detract in any way from the guitar itself.

Reliability/Durability : 10
My two Huipe's are brand new but seem very durably constructed. Basically if you take care of it, depending on climate and maintenance, it should easily last you a lifetime. Any classical guitar if not properly cared for can develop cracks if left in a dry, cold enviornment or sound weak if overexposed to excessive humidity. This is all up to the owner. You take care of your guitar and your guitar will take care of you.
As these guitars are made in Paracho and humidity is a factor there it seems as though he has this totally under control.

Arturo's U.S. connection is more than wonderfully kind and willing to help. A true gentleman who geniunely cares about what he is doing. Many Thanks.

Get one now before the word get's out and they go for 10k and up because they are easily worth that and more. In fact, I was reluctant to write this because I'm afraid of letting the secret out but the man deserves proper credit and notariety for his work.
If you're wondering about me, I'm a professional teacher for over 20 years and a working musician for even longer. My teacher was the late maestro Juan Mercadhal and I have a doctorate in music composition. I know sometimes we read these reviews and wonder who they come from. Rest assure, I'm legit.

This guitar is beautifiully finished in a very light glossy nitro-cellulose finish. The back and side woods are solid Cocobolo wood with a Canadian Red Cedar top. The neck is Honduras Mahogany, the fretboard is Ebony as is the bridge. Schaller Hauser style tuners. The fit and finish of the guitar is magnificent

Sound : 10
The sound of this guitar is nothing short of astonishing. It is the loudest guitar I or my teacher (a winner of international competitions) have ever heard. The richness and complexity of the tone almost defies imagination for a guitar in this price range.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
The action initially was high for my taste and I had it lowered. It is perfectly finished in every respect, has a beautiful rosette, gorgeous woods, perfectly matched top and back as well as flawlessly fitted purfling. The only minor flaw in the top surface was due to someone with sharp nails having played it prior to my purchase--an insignificant issue and one that didn't deter me from purchasing it.

Reliability/Durability : 10
Extremely well constructed. No issues here whatsoever.

The seller, Custom Handmade Paracho Guitars (eBay) was outstanding to deal with in all aspects of the transaction. It could not have been a better experience. The seller had absolute integrity.

Overall Rating : 10
I currently own 3 other classical guitars plus a Koa/Sitka Taylor Grand Auditorium steel string. This is easily the best guitar I own. I have owned more nylon-string guitars than I can easily count. None can compare to this one. This guitar has a truly extraordinary sound quality
that I would have to look long and hard for to replace again without spending at least $3000 and, more likely, quite a bit more.
