It has a very sweet sound. Not as bass heavy as the Ramirez 4E I have, but it projects more. It's quite loud. I really like the neck - it's fast and comfortable, whereas the 4E's neck is typically large so not as fast for me. It would be great if the JM model was deeper in sound/tone, a haunting, chocolate sound as some have said of their 4Es on this site. But the sound/tone is very pleasing.

The rosewood back/sides look good with the rippled appearance. The top doesn't look exceptional at all as a peice of wood but the grain's close. A light guitar (the 4E's much heavier).

I've been playing about 4 years and always interested in trying out other guitars. This one surprised me in the sound and projection department. It's a great guitar and I find I'm playing it alot when I practice.
