I have fitted a strap button onto the body and installed a K&K pure western mini undersaddle pickup myself...was very easy to do and I have never done that kind of thing before.
Sound

It has an awesome sound, very full and rich with a very deep tone on the lows but bright tone on the highs-perfect in every way, couldn't fault it at all. It is a very loud guitar and great for both strumming hard, soft and fingerpicking.
Action, Fit, & Finish

I bought the guitar second hand and the action is nearly perfect-could do with a service just to get it absolutely perfect but thats only a small compaint on the grand scale of things.
The finish is perfect no faults at all-very high standard

Reliability/Durability

This guitar plays excellently both live and for recording...it's a pretty expensive guitar so i would be careful the kind of places i played live. I get the impression that this guitar will last a very long time.
There wasnt a strap button on the body when i first bought it just one on the base of the guitar for a neck strap so i re-drilled it to install a pickup and installed a strap button on the joint of the neck to the body so i could have a body strap rather than one that attaches to the headstock.

I have only spoken to the customer services twice...once to find out that the rrp is and once to ask the best pickup for the guitar and whether the strap button hole was tapered and how to remove it-very quick helpful and friendly both the times i got into contact with them. They have a very active forum which avalon fans and the avalon luthiers contribute to which is great for any difficulties you may have.

I have been playing for 5 years in a worship setting. The guitar is excellent, i have upgraded 3 times and i couldnt ask for a better guitar. Of all of the guitars i've ever played (including the ridiculously expensive guitars), I have never heard a nicer guitar. This is the best guitar in my opinion you will every play!
