Very Good sound. Full with a little bright high end.
The onboard electronics allow for a diversity of sounds, but I post-eq anyway to tweak it further.

The action is adjustable on this guitar! That is correct. This guitar has high-tech features, which are awesome. When I got it one of the String Anchors at the bottom of the guitar was half-falling out, but I sent it Jeff Babicz and he fixed it free of charge. He is an awesome guy!

The hardware seems like it will last. I would gig without a backup.

I believe this is a 2004 model made in Indonesia. This cutaway dreadnaught guitar is made of a satin finished solid sitka spruce top, glossy all solid rosewood back and side with a mahogany neck. The fretboard and unique torque reducing split bridge are of satin finished rosewood. The most unique features of this guitar are all part of the Babicz guitars "icz" system which include the split bridge (the upper portion of which is adjustable for fine tuning the guitar's intonation), the lateral compression soundboard (the strings are anchored on top of the soundboard) and the continuously variable neck (the guitar's string height (action) is adjustable by raising or lowering the entire neck! As the ads proclaim- a guitar designed for guitarists by a guitarist. It comes with a hardshell case.

This guitar is capable of producing a full palette of sounds. It's bass tones are truly unique- very full in depth of tone while its trebles are full and ringing with beautiful harmonic overtones. By adjusting the action an even greater variety of tones can be achieved.
I play mostly for our church and parishioners who hardly notice the variety of guitars I've played in the past, have all commented on how loud, sweet and clear this guitar sounds.

Because of it's unique adjustable action, it doesn't matter how the factory set it up; if you don't like the setup you can quickly adjust it with the handy allen wrench found behind the headstock. Actually it was set up perfectly for fingerstyle right out of the case. I find the combination of satin finished top and gloss back sides to be another factor that sets this instrument apart from the herd.Tere were no flaws to be found anywhere on this guitar. No excess glue, nothing out of place. Once again this category deserves a ten.

All parts- metal & wood are well made and rock solid. I would and have gigged with this guitar without a backup and have no qualms about it's ability to withstand the rigors of on the road use. It does have a solid top of course so you do need to be careful about bumping the top into anything, unless you don't mind dings.

I e-mailed this company with a few questions and got a reply within a few hours- from Mr. Babicz himself! They certainly seem eager to give the best of customer service & support! Their website is also quite informative and a good source if you have questions about their guitars and the "icz" system.

I've been playing for 35 years, more seriously for the last 20. I play primarily Praise & Worship music, mostly fingerstyle. I've owned Taylors, Martins, Epiphones and Washburns. Presently I have an Atlas Breedlove AC25SR, a Larrivee L-01, a Garrison G-20 12 string and an Alvarez AC60S. I would definitely replace this guitar with the same were it lost or stolen. I love it's versitality in tone and playing configurations. I only wish I could have afforded one with electronics but I'm going to rectify that with the installation a K&K Pure System under bridge pickup.
