A little spot - missing laquer on the abalone surounding the soundboard. Otherwise far too much bling bling for my taste but well made. Highly polished laquer, a real small neck, very fast to play. All solid adirondack soundboard all solid rosewood sides and back, mahogany neck with ebony fretboard, vintage style tuners doing their job but a little fragile and not as buttery as supposed to be. The trussrod also appears to be very fragile. Scalloped braces.

IMO there is nothing this guitar won??t suit concerning music made with a flattop. The way you play it is the way it reacts, it just leaves me speechless. The sound is super-rich, soustain ringing until the next day absolutely eventempered all along the fretboard. Never ever played or heard somethingalike.

I always check the setup after receiving a guitar. This time there was absolutely nothing to adjust, perfect medium setup for fingerstyle as well as for flatpicking.

I??ve been playing for- wait a minute- 28 years now. I started as a punkrocker converted to postpunk and freenoise and always had an ear on blues, jazz and funk. I love all kinds of music if its being played by people who really love what they are doing.I own too much guitars: my favorite ones are an old 1947 Gibson LG-2 and an early 70??s Alvarez-Yairi 5070. I??ve been searching for something like this guitar for all of my life. Sounds as good as the best acoustic sounds I ever heard (Joni Mitchell / Neil Young / Nick Drake). Did some recording with it and its all there already - waiting for the top to open up I really can??t imagine how it will surpass itself.

If you want pretty and you want boom, she'll do.She's got a gloss finish, mother of pearl inlay everywhere you might want it, including the sides. Mop diamonds and flower position markers and a herring bone back stripe.
She comes with open back tuners(look like waverly's) gold plated they seem to stay in tune. I prefer sperzel's but these are pretty. Neck thin and one piece mahogany with the little volte between the the tuners. I'm not going into too much detail that you could pick up at "Saga music". Bought it at Fifth string instruments in Sacramento ca. Compared on site with martins, larrivee's and breedloves not one came close to the sound of this guitar. I do need to say that I only compared it to guitars costing about a thousand dollars more than the BR180A.
This guitar has a adirondack solid top. Solid everything. Indain rosewood sides and back ebony fingerboard and bridge, strap button.

Yea baby. This guitar is giving me a ringing in my ear. I feel like I'm plugged in. And sound goes right down the fret board as far as I can reach.

Playing about seven years.
I'd replace it.
Wish it had a compensated saddle.
