My JOMC Deluxe was made in 2006, Maine. Its a 14 fret, cutaway. Mine has beautiful bearclawed stika and madagascar rosewood. The neck is unstained mahogany. Curly maple bindings, gold waverlies and bone nut, saddle, pins. Comes with a TKL hardcase.

Sound : 10
Notes are clear and defined. Amazing power and projection. Tone is sweet and fat.

When strummed, the chords are clear, well integrated yet the individual notes can be heard. Power is clearly present.

When fingerpicked, it has the clarity and sustain of a grand piano.

I got my luthier to set it up for light strumming and fingerstyle.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
The original action is suitable for most styles but is slightly high for my playing style, so my luthier brought it down.

The bearclawed top was bookmatched perfectly with zero runout.
The insides look as clean and neat as the outside.
Finishing is perfect, not thick and not overly thin.

Reliability/Durability : 10
It will surely last a lifetime with adaquate care. In fact, maybe several lifetimes.

Customer Support : 10
The warranty is limited lifetime warranty. Customer support is straight forward and direct.

Overall Rating : 10
I love this guitar and i would say its the best amoung those that i've played. The smell of madagascar rosewood is intoxicating. I would say im having a hard time writing this review because no words can accurately describe this guitar.

Do contact me if you there are questions.

This review is for a JOMC with a Cedar top and Walnut back and sides. Based on information from Bonnie at Bourgeois, this guitar was made in 2003. The styling is Dana's own design with a larger bout than a OM design, but smaller than a traditonal dreadnought. It has curly maple binding with the "snakehead" headstock. The tuners are Waverly's. It also has abalone rosette on the sound hole and headstock.

Sound : 10
The sound that emanates from this gorgeous guitar is absolutely breathtaking! The voicing has been optimized from the combination of woods and bracing. This makes it well suited for fingertsyle playing as each note rings as it is played. As a folk style player, the notes from songs by artists such as Dan Fogelberg, Cat Stevens, and Neil Young are crisp and detailed!

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
The fit and finish were top notch! The figured walnut back looks like it has ridges and valleys below the finish. The luthiers at Bourgeois do make an instrument that truly is a work of art!

Reliability/Durability : 10
I would have no doubt that this particular guitar, taken care of, will last for many years. I would say that since Cedar is a softer wood, care would need to be taken as to not scratch or ding.

Customer Support : 10
When I emailed the company, to find out more information as to year and exact types of wood, Bonnie was very courteous and helpful. She also welcomed me into the Bourgeois family!

Overall Rating : 10
I have owned many guitars in the 40 plus years of playing including a Gurian, Taylor, Gibson, Ovation, Fender, Guild, Yamaha, and Takamine. And I can say without hesitation that the Bourgeois is at least a couple steps above them all! ( I do have to say that the Gurian was a strong 2nd.) Needlesss to say HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

My JOMC Deluxe is constructed of Madagascar Rosewood back and sides, and a figured bearclaw Sitka Spruce top. It is bound with maple on the body, fingerboard and headstock. Waverly tuners. Floral inlay on the fingerboard.

Sound : 10
This guitar is great for fingerpicking because of the string spacing - it also responds very well to a flatpick.

The Madagascar Rosewood is the closest sound to Brazilian Rosewood that I have heard.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
I have not changed the set-up since I have had the guitar. It is set up from the factory very well. No buzzes.

No cosmetic flaws at all. The finish is marvelous..

Reliability/Durability : 10
With proper care, this guitar will last a long time.

Customer Support : 10
Pantheon Guitars is a small company and are very customer-oriented. The warranty is a limited lifetime warranty.

Overall Rating : 10
I have owned acoustic guitars for almost 40 years. I presently own several.

Early JOMC 1992 I believe, made in Maine. 14 frets to the body with a cutaway. All solid wood construction. Indian Rosewood back and sides with a CEDAR top. Baggs UTS pickup with active preamp. Kind of a satin/gloss finish, not real shinny, but very nice. Body is bound in flamey maple rosette is black and white purfling. Neck has vintage style diamon inlays, headstock and neck are unbound. Has the traditional Bourgeois "snakehead" headstock. Chrome tuners with ebony buttons. Ebony fretboard and bridge. Vintage style "small" pickgard

I use it as my main playing guitar and play about 3 to 4 jobs per week. I have played and still own MANY high end Martins and Gibsons. This guitar is the one I choose to play. Plays like perfect and the intonation and tone is out of this world. It truley inspires me to play! First cedar top guitar I've owned and apart from the softness of the wood itself, I think I am in lust with the tonal complexities that I can get from this thing. I strum a chord, close my eyes and WOW, the overtones are amazing!

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
Guitar in my opinion is about perfect in every way! I've never seen better materials used on a production guitar.

Reliability/Durability : 10

Company is fantastic to deal with. I have never had a problem, but spoke to a rep about my guitar and others. Nice folks and great support.

Overall Rating : 10
If you are in the market for a guitar you could play the rest of your life, Buy a Bourgeois while they are still affordable!
