Made in 1997. Features can be found on www.bourgeoisguitars.com
I added a highlander pickup under the bridge after I purchased it
as well as a strap button on the treble side of the heel.

Simply Amazing! The loudest 12 fret I have ever played. Very well
balanced. This guitar sounds great no matter what style I play in
(jazz, folk, fingerstyle, blues). I simply can't express how much
better this guitar sounds than any other acoustic I have played.
And, I have played a lot of guitars (Larivee, Santa Cruz, Martin,
Taylor, Lowden, Leach, Collings, etc.).
Action, Fit, & Finish

I purchased this guitar used so I'm not sure how it was setup.
It was perfect when I bought it though. The guitar was flawless.
It is immaculate inside(!) and out. I mean immaculate!
I am equally comfortable fingerpicking or flatpicking with it.
Beautiful wood, very carefully finished, action is perfect.
Reliability/Durability

Dana makes beautiful guitars. With any handmade guitar you want
to make sure it gets well taken care of--the right humidity,
temperature, etc., is important. If you do those things,
reliability and durability is not an issue. If you leave a
nice guitar like this on your living room floor with kids running
around on the other hand....
:)
But yeah, I think this guitar is very dependable, extremely well
made down to the last brace and tuning peg. I'd definitely use
it without backup because how are you going to replace it!!??
I added a strap button on the treble side of the heel. It is solid.
Finish is excellent.

I have been playing for 15 years. My other acoustic is a Godin
Multiac which plays quite well. If my Martin Simpson were stolen
or lost I would be crushed--this guitar is a keeper.
It projects so well and it captures the dynamics perfectly,
acoustically or with the highlander. I don't think a better
12 fret could exist, so I wouldn't change a thing.
