Its got a nice crisp sound that I think is amazing. And its nice to play (I can't put it down) I've been hacking away at the guitar for about 30 years (since I was a kid). I've got an ovation a 12 string rick and epiphone sheriton. To me this BreedLove guitar puts the Ovation on it ass. Its a very differant guitar which makes it interesting. For the cash its a rock solid axe. I can't wait to use it at a gig.

Gorgeous satin finish, which suits my taste. The neck is extremely comfortable, even though I am more used to the classical width (my main axe is a Godin Grand Concert). Gig bag is top notch. Solid top is a little on the thick side so that accounts for it's somewhat dead acoustic sound.

Sound : 7
See above on acoustic sound. Plugged in the guitar does come alive although I have to pump up the volume on my acoustasonic amp to really bring out the fullness of the sound. Even at high volumes there is no feedback. I play fingerstyle pop as well as classical music and the Breedlove is a nice addition to my sound.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
Set uo and finishing on mine were first class

Reliability/Durability : 8
I've used this for a a year and a half now - though it is my backup guitar - and everything seems to be holding up well.

Haven't needed any yet

I've been playing professionally for three years. I have eight guitars with the Godin being my main performance guitar and the Breedlove now functioning as my main back-up...aas well as for certain gigs that have required a more "acoustic look", ie. cocktail parties and dinner parties. The pick up is adequate but individual saddle transducers would really be a treat...but you aren't going to get that in a $600 guitar. For this price, it has outplayed my Takamine 132 which is a considerably more expensive guitar.

All numeric ratings I am submitting are relative to the price class of instrument this is. This is a relatively inexpensive instrument and for what it is, I think it is a good instrument. The pickup system works well with the instrument - much better than an Takamine nylon string that I had previosly. Fit and finish were excellent on mine. Laminate sides are OK. Came with a very nice padded gig bag.

Sound : 8
Again, for the price, I think it has a good sound and is fairly well balanced. Some of the lower notes have a tendency to buzz and higher up the neck you lose some sustain, and I imagine that has something to do with the difference between a $800 list and a $2800 list instrument. There aren't many choices for a nylon string in this price range so it is hard to compare. I liked the Taylor nylon string guitars but those start at almost twice the price. Overall, a nice sounding guitar. I enjoy it very much.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 7
Action, fit and finish were flawless. One complaint about intonation. The notes are a little flat as you progress up the neck. It is not that noticeable but enough to annoy me a bit.

Reliability/Durability : 7
The bridge broke after a year. The piece between the saddle and the soundhole snapped right off the bridge. I took it back to the store I bought it from, they sent it back to the factory and I got a new guitar. The store I purchased it from (Russo's in Omaha) did not charge me the shipping fee - I am loyal to them and give a lot referrals, so maybe I got a break. Hopefully what happened to my guitar was a fluke. Otherwise, everything is well made. Good tuners and hardware. I have no reason to doubt this guitar will last. I would not hesitate to use it live.

So far they have been good to me - see above

Overall Rating : 8
Overall, a very nice instrument for the money. Take of it and it will take care of you. I have a Taylor 810, several good electrics, several vintage banjos and wanted a nylon string guitar for around home and to add variety/flexibility for what I play. This guitar fit my needs nicely. If lost or stolen, I would not hesitate to replace it, unless I had some extra dough to upgrade. That is not a negative reflection on the instrument, but rather a typical character flaw shared by all guitar addicts.

It has a soft cutaway, solid cedar top, rosewood laminate back and sides. This is a big guitar feels like a Dred or a small Jumbo because of the depth 4 9/16". Standard 14 fret with a Fishman Classic pickup. Because it's a nylon string you are expecting a lightweight, wrong it's fairly heavy for an acoustic wonderful neck and very nice tuners, this is a slothead but I think that helps the balance.

Sound : 8
It is a nylon string so the sound doesn't jump out like a steel string. It has its own warmth. Big bass for a nylon string. I think if you played a classical and then got one of these you would not be as comfortable as moving from an electric. The weight is way different and the sound with the body depth is not the classical style. Amplified it sounds really good, you just have to hear it. They have basically knocked off their very expensive Bossa Nova model at 1/4 the price.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
The overall quality of my guitar was very good. Inside the braces could have been finished a little better. But the quality at this price point was fine. It took some adjusting and sanding to get it setup my way but that's normal. Does come with an extra Tusq saddle. The wood quality was very good and the outside fit was also. The tuners are really good smooth and solid

Reliability/Durability : 9
This guitar is as solid as anything on the market, that I've ever touched. Finish is satin, would be nicer gloss.

Customer Support : 6
I had to call customer service because the Fishman wouldn't come out to replace the battry. They were quick to pick up my call and got me through the problem, in shipping the old battry had got stuck. The service warranty on this requires it to be returned to Oregon you pay shipping both ways and only 5 years. Seems at least with this one they could extend it alot longer.

Overall Rating : 7
Playing for 3years started after retiring. Have owned quite a few guitars Martins Larrivee Tacomas a few I wish I has still but GAS moves foreward. I would like this gutar to be thinner and 12frets. But the 1 7/8 neck and nylon strings coupled with the Fishman sold me. The gigbag it comes with is the finest I've ever seen make sure you get it.

Made In Korea ! Grover Tuners , Solid top / Laminated back and sides. Came with the case that was sugested, guitar was 2" longer than the case. The best part about the guitar was the bracing Inside the soundhole. The guitar Is built like a tank , I mean Its more like a battle ax.I did a review on it and music 123 did not post it because unlike most true companys, they only put up positive feedback so people will buy the Items ! They also had it listed as a top seller and there was none sold go figure.(caveat emptor)I want to thank Harmony central for leting us post our direct opinions. This helps tell truly if an item is worthy !

Sound : 5
Fishman Classic 4 very nice.I played it direct it was boasted with a good solid sound that was ballanced and it projected very well ! unplugged or amped.Had a very bright and clean sound.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 2
The guitar came with some kind of buffing compound on it, I had to clean it.The Finish was Matte which did no justice at all,it did not appeal to me It had such beautiful wood , good coat of gloss would do this guitar nicely. The guitar came out of the case and needed a neck adjustment ! I guess when you think of Breedlove you expect certan things.I guess they go back to the factory for a blessing and then they are shipped out. This one also also came with pits and mars on it.

Reliability/Durability : 5
Built like a tank ! Can be used as a weapon , Boat paddle, ,or if the neck is not adjusted corectly you can use it as a bow to hunt wild boar.I spoke to a guy that sells these local,he said he used to get them in with bowed necks but they have gotten allot better in the past 6 months.I have heard that the real Breedloves sound out standing. For the money I have the Alvarez MC90C on its way these are supposed to be really nice.I will do a writeup on this model also.

Customer Support : 6
Customer Support Very Good ,Good people at the shop.I would have kept this guitar, but due to, no case , matte finish , and the price
they do make a case for it sold seperatly for $139.00. The warranty is a 5 year limited.Mine didnt make the warranty part.

Overall Rating : 4
I have been playing for 20 yrs.I have a total of 15 guitars at any given point.I have compared this guitar to my Yamaha C-40 and the Yamaha gave it a run for the money.

Nylon String - 1 7/8 neck - Laminated Rosewood Back and Sides - solid cedar top - Made in Korea - L.R. Baggs pickup - No case

Sound : 5
I've been playing a Takamine sc132. I play folk/original finger stile. I wanted to try the narrower neck. Anyways, the sound
was just okay. There was a dead/lifelessness to it that made it unengaging. Kind of like playing a jazz box unplugged. Plugged in, the sound was alot better. I think the laminated wood actually lent itself to being electrified. It gave it a kind of compression. If I just played plugged in all the time, I'd keep it. I but I need a strong acoustic sound so I returned the guitar.

Action, Fit, & Finish : No Opinion
The setup and workmanship looked pretty good. These are made in Korea and then setup by BreedLove in the USA.

Reliability/Durability : No Opinion
did keep it long enough to know

I bought this from music123. Not only deas it not come with a case, but the isn't even the proper BreedLove case sold seperately. I bought the case that was part of the "recomended accessories". It was a classical case and didn't fit the guitar. I think the body size of this guitar would be considered "concert" size. Good luck finding a case. I'm counting this oversight as poor customer service. On both BreedLove's and Music123's part. I bought a case so the guitar would be protected as it travelled across country to me and they knew that was my intention becuae the wrote "w/case" on the BreedLove box...
