This is a straightforward American made, pre war style OM guitar. I also have the DR-R Deluxe. I was uncertain about the tuners as well but have absolutely no issues with them. By the way, there is a non Deluxe version of this guitar that has a satin finish and Sitka rather than red spruce. There is a huge difference in sound. In fairness the price is substantially different as well.
Passive, no pickups or electronic, no cutaway.

This is why I am writing this review. The prior reviewer neglected to give it a rating. As I mentioned I also have the dreadnought version of this. I like both but this has incredible clarity and balance and is also better for finger picking. The dreadnought has a big booming bass that, in fairness, is quite articulate but is still kind of a guilty pleasure. I compared this to a lot of guitars including new Martins (the Steve Miller model was nice), Taylors, Huss and Dalton and Collings. I felt this was competitive with the Collings, although I slightly preferred it. I definitely preferred the price on this guy. For the record, I am not a fan of the "untraditional" Breedloves. The Revival series shocked me.

Who knows? The company has been responsive to a dealer issue but I haven't had a problem so can't say.

Price no object, 8 to 9. I can't afford tens and believe very few exist. Factoring in value, 10.

I would have preferred an upgrade on the tuners to Gotoh's or Waverly's but this guitar is built with incredible attention to detail. It is clearly a handmade instrument made with care by craftspeople who are skilled in their trade. It's a beautiful instrument without any overbearing adornements

Durability: Honestly, the top is wafer thin and I worry about my percussive style. They use an incredibly well braced, thin top that is nearly dynamic to the touch. It actually feels like a springboard at times! No wonder they have such great tone. The entire body of the guitar vibrates in unison to the slightest sensation - she's delicate. I wouldn't want to abuse her.
Hardware: My only complaint is I prefer different tuners.
Finish: Highest quality
Strap buttons: nice and solid, but I have to have a luthier put in my front strap button, it didn't come wiht one.

Warranty: As good as you can ask for. Call them, they anser their phones. They're very nice.
How long: limited lifetime
Dealt with Company: Yeah, they know me by now. I'm the guy that's bought 3 Breedloves in less than 4 months including a custom shop instrument. I happen to really like this company a lot from top to bottom. Good people making great guitars.

I've been playing since I was a kid, I'm in my late 30's.
Wished I'd asked: Not really.
Lost or stolen: Weep like a dog, replace it with another Breedlove, most likely the same exact model.
Love about it: playability and tone. This baby snaps and crackles under your fingers. The highs are crisps, the lows defined but not boomy. She has a great neck profile. An absolute dream.
