Rosewood body and Adrondack Spruce top dreadnought style acoustic. This is a very different guitar from the non-deluxe model, both in look and feel. The standard is a satin finish, this is a gloss. More importantly, the standard is Sitka spruce with a Tusq nut while this is Adirondack with a bone nut. The difference is striking. Grover vintage tuners. I am not a fan of Breedlove's regular line of guitars but this, which is an obvious tribute to pre war Martins, is outstanding. Very simple, very elegant, very "right". There is nothing else I would want but I'm sure some would like electtronics.

It is a dreadnought. Tons of projection but not boomy, very alive sounding with lots of harmonics. Rich and full but not a boom box. A friend of mine has a Collings. It is a wonderful guitar. This hangs with it. I actually prefer the neck on this, although that is obviously subjective, and I consider the sound comparable. I also have the OM version of this as well as a Huss & Dalton MJC. Pretty well covers the bases

Superb. No issues whatsoever.
Reliability/Durability
:
No Opinion
I don't play out. I suspect the finish is thin. I consider that desirable. I have had it for about a year and it is quite stable even with the weather changes in the midwest. No opinion since I haven't had it a really long time.

I compared this to Morgans, Martins, Taylors, other Breedloves. I did not check out the Collings offerings because they were out of my budget. I want to emphasize that this is a dramatically different sounding guitar the the non-deluxe version. I had the opportunity to compare them side by side and the standard Revival sounded dead by comparison. I was shocked at the difference. I made this comparison with both the OM and dreadnoughts with the same results. The standard is a decent guitar for substantially less money. The Deluxes are outstanding.
