The Cordoba 32 EF has a solid spruce top with laminated cypress sides and back. The factory specs call the scale length 650mm but I measured it a bit over that. This is the entry level Cordoba.

Sound : 8
The sound is very good for the price and the tone is flamenco, sharp, bright, quick and clear attack, the tone is the best thing about this guitar.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 4
The guitar is a nice looking guitar and most the finish was good there were a few problems however. The frets were a little square and needed to be refinished, there was a uneven spot were the soundboard met the binding. The action was a little high and the saddle needed a slight adjustment and the nut needed to be taken down a bit as well.

Reliability/Durability : 7
I have had this quitar for awhile and it seems as durable as any other guitar in this price range.

Customer Support : 1
I have emailed the company twice with no response ever from them.

Overall Rating : 7
I have been playing guitar for 30 years I have played electric and classical guitars this is the first flamenca that I have purchased, and I bought it because it was on clearence for such a good price, even thought it was new it was a bit rough and needed some work on the frets and action the price was so low it justified the work.

After buying this guitar, I own a total of 9 guitars (but 5 of them have lost their effectiveness with years of playing, and general poor keeping).

This review should be a detailed one, with all kinds of references to the music genres this guitar was made for. However, I'll keep it simple:

The guitar is made very well, and has an exceptional tone. It's a flamenco guitar, but, as far as I'm concerned, the term "flamenco" applies to the plastic transparent pick guard that expands both ways in the strumming / playing area. For this reason, the Cordoba 32 EF Classical guitar must be the same model, just without the wide transparent pick guard.

I bought the guitar for the price ($ 499), and for the reputation of the manufacturer, but I'm not a flamenco player. I play mostly classical and jazz, and this guitar holds up very well. Actually, it's amazing how much quality and craftsmanship is put into such a low costing instrument. Its sound is wonderful.

I have a Gibson J-185, which is an expensive guitar. Now, the latter should not be mentioned in this review because the music played on it is substantially different than the one played on the Cordoba. The reason why I mention the Gibson is because of the sound quality. The Cordoba can really be just as loud and clear as the Gibson, which costs 4 times the price of the Cordoba.

To conclude, you really can't go wrong with this instrument. As soon as you touch it, you can hear Segovia coming out from your own notes.
