I play classical and I really like to tone this guitar produces. It is loud and clear. I tried the Koa Limited Edition model they have and that had a much more subdued tone compared to this one. This model has a solid Spruce top that sounds great.

The action was set high from the factory and I lowered it as low as I could get it to go without resting on the bridge. Fortunately this was low enough and it now plays fast without buzzing.
The finish and wood-work are beautiful. The fretwork is well done. There are no flaws in the finish or construction.
The only issue I really had was the tuners were not the quality I have seen on other Cordoba's of this caliber. I had them replaced with some Schallers, which is really not a big deal to me. Other than that, the guitar seems very solid.

The finish seems like it is very durable and can withstand it being on the road.

Cordoba 45FCE Cutaway Flamenco Guitar 2007. I don't know what some of you guys are saying.....maybe there is a difference between the 2006 and 2007 model. I purchased the 2007 model and all I can say is BEAUTIFUL RICH SOUND, GREAT ACTION, LOOKS. I have no complaints. I am a professional nouveau flamenco and Latin Jazz player.....it keeps up. I recommend it, BIGTIME. Can't beat it for the price.

I own the 45FCE for six months now. I am a little frustrated that this model is not on Cordoba's website and there seems to be nothing out there regarding the specs!
Playability is quite nice and produces some rich trebles which can also emmit some of that flamenco spark as we call it.
For the price I would say it is decent. But compared to the Gypsi Kings FCWE is it doesn't measure up. I just found a deal on a used RCWE which blows it away. I'll probably get it and keep both who knows.
So overall I give it a 6. For myself, a 1 year novice to flamenco it was a great entry level guitar and it's seving its purpose. Plugged in to my Marshall AS50R acoustic amp, and high tension Hannabach Flamenco strings... it zings!

Gloss finish
sycamore (laminated) back and sides
spruce top
cedar neck
ebony fretboard
rosewood overlay on head stock
economy tuners-bone saddle-plastic nut
fishman electronics ,I think I was fooled when I saw the plug put in the right place. most cheap guitars put the plug hole thru the laminated side. this guitar has a nice strap plug that goes thru the tail block. I was impressed with that. hard case included w/ humidifier.

I am a jazz guitar player that dabbles in classical/flaminco style. This guitar is very soft spoken although compared to the other cordoba guitars in that price range this one was louder and clearer. Plugged in it sounds great, the fishman system is doing its job. I'm giving it a 9 because the sound of the guitar just does not knock the doors down. I'm hoping it will get crisper with age.

The action off the rack was high, way high. I like my classical action at 1/8th all the way across fret #12. I'm sorry to say that thats as far as I could go on chopping down the saddle. If I wanted the action any closer the strings would have bottomed out on the saddle slot. That is not right, for a 2006 model guitar there should be more room for adjustment. I believe there are too many guitaists out there that want a closer than normal action on their classicals. I should have noticed this in the show room. As long as the neck stays where its at i'll be satisfied. Great gloss finish but several blems under clearcoat. I like the bone saddle but wonder why they didn't use a bone nut as well, it's plastic. there was no workmanship put into this plastic nut, it appears to be just put on and left alone. everthing works fine but the bridge configuration seems too high with little to no hope for lowering with out major surgery.

I don't play live, but I wonder what is stiffening the neck. There is no trussrod or any sign of neck coordination. Only time can tell what this guiar is made of.

I was offered no information on the company contact, and I cannot find anything on the net to see what this guitar is made of. I plan on contacting the dealer for this info.

I've been playing for 30+ years. At present, if this guitar were stolen I dought I would get this make or model to replace it. I expected better sound , manufacturer info, and higher quality for this price range of guitar. Again, only time can tell how I will feel about this guitar. Some guitars do get better with age, I hope this one does.
