i dig the super thin satin finish on it, im not sure if its nitro or not,but it feels like there is almost nothing on it,it is a solid sitka spruce top dreadnought nice grain, i looked over a few of them and picked out the one i liked best.. it came with grover tuners with what they call "ebony look" keys, they should say with black plastic keys, cause thats what they are...kinda cheesy...the neck feels great, perfect fit for my hand, the frets are nice, not too big like some others...it came with a decent roadrunnertm gig bag, i actually like the backpack straps in the pouch.nice solid top.no electronics, i dont think they come from the fact. with them, but i would love to hear one with some....it dosent suit what i do with it, so i wouldnt do it to mine, but would prob sound great....top is solid sitka spruce, and the sides, back and neck are all mahogany

i pretty much strum the hell out of this thing, but ill bust out some sweet sweet leads on it and it is loud and deep, with great mids and highs, and plenty of volume....i normally play acou rock type rythms on it(melon, sublime, qotsa esque)but i also get some great bluesabilly tone outof it.. i love the fact its loud and full...louder than my buddys d15, i gotta ease up when were jammin cause i totally overpower his ax
Action, Fit, & Finish

the set up was almost perfect from gc...i dont know if they set it up out back at gc but the action is low and the int. is spot on....thetop is pretty well matched, minus the little flaw in the grain near the bottom of the soundhole, the first one i had had a smaller flaw, and i looked over/ played like 7 others that had similar flaws in the grain on the tops, and none of them had it on the opposite side of the top...lower/upper...upper/lower....the first one i had was real nice, but one of the braces fell off the inside of the top so i brought it back and my gc guy took it back immediatley.....no finish flaws on the top, and you might not be able to identify one on the sides or back because of the open ppore finish and the grain is still present

i play small gigs, and acou duo/cookout type stuff with it and it has always been good to me...play all night every night....the hardware is solid except for the plastic tuner keys, which have always stayed in tune,i just dont like plastic...i feel like they will last, but im gonna change them anyway..i LOVE the finish, its thick enough to protect, thin enough to let the wood age,breath...prob last as long as me...totally dependable, i would and do play it out w/o a bkup

i had to bring the first one i had back because of a brace that fell off inside the top, and my guy at gc took it out back and proceeded to bring out 5 others until i was happy... i know this is a gc exclusive so i imagine cort tells them to make us happy...havent had to deal with them but their retailers do a good enough job

i have been playing over 12 years, and haved owned tons of gear. i have a vintage yamaha dred, a 60s epi acou, and a couple 70s japs, with the exception of my 70s mij ion? this is my fave. if it got stolen i would def buy another, they are affordable and readily available...could prob get a used one for a little less than retail... love the finish, love the complexity of the tone, love the volume...hate the plastic tuner keys...i would have to say my fave feature is the asthetics. i love the look of this guitar, beautiful binding, inlays, and i even love the shape of the headstock
