The guitar looks much classier than its ??200 price tag would suggest.
The body is small but very comfortable to play - the cutaway is well designed and makes it play like an electric.
Overall it is eyecatching.

Sound : 8
A bright, folky sound that is very pleasant on the ear.
Plugged in the Fisman electronics provide a sound way above the ??200 mark. An expert ear may detect an absence of rich bass but if that is what you are after you would have chosen a bigger bodied instrument.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 6
When it arrived the preamp had been fitted at a wonky angle. Before sending it back I decided to investigate and unscrewed it. The cut out was perfectly aligned so all I had to do was to make a new set of screw holes.
The action was abit high and sanded about 1/16th off the bridge and this did the trick. Nice low action now and no buzzes anywhere.
The frets were all smooth and it suits elctric style lead play.If had been supplied as it is now I wold have scored it higher.

Reliability/Durability : 9
I bought this guitar to save humping my Martin around in threatening environments. It is an extremely light instrument but I reckon it will stand up well to the odd knock.

I emailed a main Cort dealer regarding the preamp alignment and got a reply within an hour - impressive.
There is some nice info on the main Cort site.

Overall Rating : 10
Well I'm used to playing a Martin D1 and this is no big come-down.
The comfort and ease of playing it provides may make it the choice to pick up even when the MARTIN is nearby.
If I had met the guitar for the first time I would have priced it nearer the ??400 mark.

Well this guitar has about as many features as you can get on an acoustic-electric. Being only 320.00 US it doesn't have the MOP or abalone appointments. However it does have a nice fishman classic 4 preamp and a cutaway for real features.
Here are some other features,
solid spruce top
Laminated mahogany back and sides
Jumbo size outline but about half as thick with a cutaway. (VERY comfortable)
Onboard eq
Fishman classic 4 preamp and fishman undersadde piezo

I wanted to get a guitar that I could take outside and play. Nothing fancy and if I get dings on it and whatnot I won't care. So as you would expect I was originally in the 500-700 price range and was about to pull the trigger on a tacoma DM-10 which was gorgeous and just marked down. I looked around the store a little more and saw this. The salesman had told me it sounded great for a small body and WOW did it ever. I had wanted a mahogany body as I like a crisper attack and maple is a bit too crisp so this guitar really suits me well. With an on-board preamp and eq you can get alot of sounds electrically. Acoustically it is what it is. I know there are much better sounding acoustics out there and I have owned some. However if you are going to play outside or on the streets you won't want to bring a $2K taylor with you.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
The guitar was set up as nice as any of the taylors, martins or larrive's that I played. NO flaws that I can see. It is a "NO frills" gutiar but is very well made (made in china). Frets are excellent and NO buzzing.

Reliability/Durability : 9
I think the guitar will hold up real well. It has a lifetime warranty so if I take care of it I should never have to worry. Everything on the guitar feels solid and definitely feels more like a $1200 gutiar than a $300 one. I would certainly take it to a gig without a backup, in fact I plan on it!!

No issues as I have never needed it. The music store up the street sells this line and they are the BEST music store (Acoustic Outfitters Music Store, Stratham NH) I have ever been to. I am giving this a high rating because I am sure I will be satisfied.

Overall Rating : 10
I am giving this a 10 not because it is the best guitar out there but because everything about this guitar says it shoud cost 3-4 times more than it does. The quality is far above the price and the design is wonderful. You would not believe the projection from this guitar acoustically!!!

Compared to a taylor 110E (it was better)
Compared to a Tacoma DM10 (tacoma was better sounding and more appointments but more than 2X the cost on markdown)
Compared to a Martin (not sure of the model but the martin was $900.00 new) Martin sounded better but 3X the cost.

Honestly folks I have owned hundreds of guitars (NOT KIDDING) mostly electric, but also alot of acoustics and this is an incredible value.

Satin top Finish Satin, Body style cutaway, Tuners own brand, thin neck, solid top, electro on board EQ, good quality of finish, I picked this up in a shop having not heard of Cort and was immedialtry impressed by the quality and sound from such a low cost guitar. solid top and body resonate well the guitar was made in China. Id reccomend this as a general working stage accoustic or a back up guitar. I'm very please with it and I think it will mature nicely

Sound : 9
plays like an electric, has a bright zingy feel, projects well, sound very good plugged in, with a versatile range of sounds that with the on board EQ can be flexible to suit a wide range of styles. Its not too large and is light mine is left hand so I have a ppoor choice of accoustics but I'm happy with this one, it sounds like a guitar in the ??500-??600 range rather than the ??269 it cost!

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
The set up from the shop was tidy resaonably low action medium guage strings, no fret buzzes, Generally impressed.

Reliability/Durability : 8
Have yet to see how this guitar matures, the intenral bracing from what I can see looks good although the satin finish (its supposed to let the sound breath from the solid top plate)might be easy to mark over time. strap buttons are solid I bought a low cost solid case to go with it.

Customer Support : 8
no reason to try it yet

Overall Rating : 10
If it was lost or stolen i would replace straight away, my other guitar are Fender 1982 Jap strat, Les Paul Standard, and Gordon smith GS2, all left handed. The Cort gives me a complete range of performing guitars that covers all the bases from blues to rock to folk to electro/ambient intrumentals. I have a limited range being left handed but this line-up does the job.
