This is a Martin-shaped dreadnought with a solid cedar top. The neck is mahogany with a scarf joint and seperate heel block. It has a rosewood bridge and bound rosewood fingerboard with interesting wing-shaped wood inlays. I can't tell if the back and sides are solid. They appear rosewood-like on the outside, but inside the box they're duller, similar to unfinished mahogany. The bracing is spruce. The scale length is probably 25 1/4 to 25.5 inches. The tuners are very high quality and quite beautiful. The nut is synthetic.
It has no onboard electronics, which is a plus for me, as I hate amplified acoustic guitar unless it's miked with a condenser or something. It is labeled "D-18" inside the soundhole, so perhaps it's a "D-18/N" without electronics?
I gave it a "9" in this category because I'm pretty sure the back and sides are laminated. That doesn't really matter though.

I'm mostly an electric guitarist. But when I want acoustic, this is great. I have a very picky ear for electric and acoustic tone. Wow, I love the sound of this guitar. I've heard much better, but this is not a plywood guitar or a beginner acoustic. Chords really sound warm and shimmery, and it responds well to he-man strumming. It sounds just as good if not better with quiet picking, and works great for fingerpicking too. I think it has grown better with age. (I've had it for two and a half years.) I believe it retails for about $500 USD, and it's worth it, though I paid less. I record with it all the time. It's great.
Action, Fit, & Finish

The action at the bridge is fine. Being an acoustic, the action is a little higher than I would set an electric, but I don't care. Any lower and the strings would probably rattle. One gripe is that the nut slots are a hair, just a hair, too shallow, that is the strings are too high at the nut, but only slightly. This makes the first two frets, esp. the first fret, a little more difficult than the rest of the fingerboard. If you have the saws/files, you can fix this yourself (with a lot of care), and I may attempt it some time.
It was damaged slightly in shipping, but nothing serious, and otherwise the guitar is flawless. As mentioned, the tuners are fantastic, totally solid and smooth with very attractive buttons.
The finish is satin. It's quite dinged up by now.

See above about the soft finish. But the actual guitar is quite solid, and has weathered many careless bumps and knocks.
I've gigged with it. You have to mike it, which means you have to be aware of where the top is in relation to the mike, but who cares. I'm sure I'll use this guitar the rest of my life. I would never sell it.

I don't know. I would probably try to fix it myself. Crafter is in Korea I think.

This was my first real guitar. I was quite fortunate to buy this from an acquaintance. I would recommend this guitar to anyone, especially a beginner looking to upgrade from a cheapo plywood box. But that's not to say this is only for the grasshoppers. I'm not a pro, but I imagine any pro would be happy with it.
