Everything you would expect for an Es335 type guitar.

Sound : 9
Play country Jazz Rock Gospel. Works well in all genres.
I like the neck p/up especially. Tonality is everything I hoped for.
Bridge p/up has a deal of brightness that I systematically roll off with the tone. I think a different capacitor would be the answer.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
Perfect setup from the factory. I use GHS 010 Nickle Rockers.
I found the fit and finish to be near flawless. After 3 yrs of playing my p/up switch fell into the hole. This is common on all these style guitars. Easily fixed. No rust. I use carnauba wax and the pieces wont rust. Lacquer on pieces holding up excellent. Poloyu finish has not altered in 2.5 years of steady playing.

I play live a minimum of 3 times per week and have had absolutely no problems. Being a hollow body 335 style it resonates slightly at high monitor volume. Replaced strap buttons with locking shaller.
Not concerned about a backup guitar. Dont need one.

Have never needed warranty and the store I purchased from is a factory repair.

36 years with many different genres of music experience.
Would be best to try this through your own amp before purchasing.
I would by the next one up from this only for the color variation.
I chose this one for versatility and quality. It is a beautiful guitar.

Nice sealed machine heads, accurate volume controls, enough of everything.

Sound : 10
My style is rock, blues, metal, punk, funk and folk. It handles all well, even in high gain situations, but does feedback, which i like. Works great as an accoustic too

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
Set up amazing when bought but has since taken an absolute beating over the last 2 years, and now needs a bit of expert work. It does still rock tho.

Reliability/Durability : 8
Withstands live playing very well, but i have a major buzz off the neck pickup when played accoustically, a slightly bent high fret that occasionally catches the top e string, and a little discernable fret wear on the 1st and 2nd. But would trust this guitar to the very end, and it has many years left. Its the one for me. Its a real workhorse.

Ive had it from new for coming up 2 years. Its basically the guitar i learnt to play on, the only one ive ever used live. It is even named now, "Decapitatia", in honour of someone stamping the head off. It still functions fine now, even though its technically flat lined, and i don't need another guitar. Again with the workhorse deal, you can do what u want with it.

I bought this from Ebay early 2005, and by the serial number 02057103, I assume it was manufactured in May 2002, but input on this would be appreciated. It has two pickups, no obvious make on them, each with its own volume and tone controls, and a three way selector switch. The machine heads are Grover, and I have had no problems with tuning. The metal finish is gold, and seems to be wearing OK compared to some three year old guitars I have seen. It is a full acoustic style body, with F holes. The amp connector is on the lowe edge, and is a good solid snap in. The neck is similar to my dearmond Jet Star, not too fat, rosewood fretboard with fairly high frets. Tailpiece is a typical hollow body type, open wire design and fits over the bottom edge, really rather fancy with rosewood connectors where the strings fit. The bridge is adjustable hieght wise, and the whole bridge can be moved to help with intonation, but as received, mine was spot on.

It has a clear bright acoustic sound, very even over the sound range, though not as loud unplugged as some acoutics I have played. Plugged in it sounds really good, and I now play it far more than my DeArmond Jet Star, which to me is a brilliant electric guitar. The pickups played seperatley sound very different, the neck pickup giving a rich acoustic sound, while the bridge pickup sounds more electric. I have only been playing for a year or so, but tried a number of acoustics before buying this one, and in my humble opinion the sound from this guitar is the best I have heard in not just its price bracket, but well above as well. Sustain is very good, though not as long as the Jet Star, but then it is an acoustic. I play rock and blues, and it sounds great plugged or unplugged, but I think this guitar needs jazz to realy show it off

As received, there was a bit of fret buz on the 6th string, so I adjusted the basics, (the truss rod was loose), bridge hieght, and a new set of no. 11 steel strings, and though there is a little buzz when played hard around the 16th 17th fret, I have compromised with action hieght. I suspect one of the frets around the 18th is a little high, but it does not bother me now. The resulting action is about 3/32 inch at the 12th fret. Finish generally is excellent. The F hole cut outs are not perfectly smooth in a few places, but otherwise it is very good.

Only had it 5 months, but no signs of any problems.

To me this is the perfect guitar. I will never sell it, and would be very upset if it was stolen, and as I have not seen another up for sale second hand, and could not afford another new one, I would probably never play again :o( . I have been playing only a year or so, but have played far more with this guitar than my other electric. I am over 6 foot, and have big hands, but find the guitar sits on my knee perfectly, and I can get chords I could not get easy before, (though I expect I am improving anyway). It is a truly lovely looking guitar, the body depth about 20% less than a normal acoustic, and has book matched tiger maple sides and back.
