Nice faded blue to black at edges sound board, which is almost certainly laminated wood. Sides and back are a fairly shallow glass fibre/plastic bowl. Thin neck for an acoustic. Chrome tuners. Mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboatd with diamond shaped fret markers, also dot marked on top edge of neck which is plastic bound.
Only volume and tone to control output into amp.

Bright sound, which I like. Vry bright into amp but I have got a decent sound eventually by upping bass and backing off treble, using a Roland Cube 60.
Great strumming guitar. Action is a bit high to play fast note runs. I would need to get it lowered by a pro, as it is not easily adjusted. I can live with the action though.
It can play loud unplugged considering the shallow plastic back bowl but plays nice quiet too.
I like it over-all and you need to spend a lot more to get a better sound e.g. a ??300+ Takamine and you could get this guitar for under ??150 about 10 years ago.

Pretty solid and pleasant to look at although the plastic back bowl will not be to everyone's taste but the bowl is robust and takes knocks better than highly finished wood.
Action is high(ish) but it plays well. My top is not bookmatched but I don't think its meant to be but the two halves are of different wood shades through the transluscent lacquer. I don't mind that - kind of quirky!
Good mahogany neck which is bound in white plastic - looks cheap but is well fitted. Top is white bound too. Rosette is a plastic patterned circle.

Home use only and is well cared for. Never dropped to test the apparently delicate machine heads!
I don't gig but it is well made as long as you don't bash it up too much - and that applies to all guitars really although some are more robust than others. I would say this one can take it but watch kicking it over - see other reviews about broken machine heads.

On and off playing for about 10 years. Basic home player.
2 solid electrics and a Fender Stratacoustic. Roland Cube 60 amp.
I am sentimental about this guitar because it was my first ever acoustic and I love its looks in blue. I wouldn't replace it but I don't intend losing it either! I'd love a Takamine as well!!!

I play mainly bluesy stuff as well as chords, suits my needs perfectly, it's been my faithful guitar for nearly 5 years and i've had no inclination to replace it.
I've only played it through an amp a couple of times very bright for that.
It's a bright sounding instrument anyway, not unpleasantly so unplugged. Very mature sound. It does get loud as well. But for a cheaper plastic acoustic it's great!

I got this 2nd hand. The Action was high. I did lower it myself not too hard. Also sometime the high E strings get stuck under some frets. Not a big problem though as I don't play live.

Seeing as only the nech and soundboard is wood, it's built well. One machine head did break after a few months of owning it after a fall. But I was told by the luthier who fixed it, it's a common problem with Crafter guitars. But other than that a couple of dents and scratches, looks remarkably in good condition after the years of falls University house moving.

I'm a bedroom player, with only an Epiphone Lp through a VOX Pathfinder as my other guitar. The Crafter was my first guitar, so I'm used to any problems it has. I would be distraught if something happened to it irrespective of how cheap it is. It is a cheap guitar though being realistic, I got it 2nd hand and saw them in British general catalogues (Argos, Index)for ??170. I am impressed how much I prefer the sound of it over other guitars my friends own.

This guitar was made in Korea around 2000. It is an electro-acoustic with volume and tone controls. The machineheads are chrome diecast and are made by Crafter. It's beautiful to look at, black fibreglass back, deep blue wood laminated front. The neck is quite thin - I'm female and I have quite small hands and I find this guitar very comfortable to play. I bought it second-hand so I didn't get any accessories with it.

I really love the sound of this guitar. I can't really comment on it as an electric guitar as 95% of the time I play it as an acoustic and it has a great range of sounds - you can play it very softly or loudly enough to accompany a room full of people singing along. I would describe its sound as quite clean and rich for an acoustic. It works well for both chord-based songs and singalongs, and for lead guitar riffs.

I haven't had any problems with the action being too high - it compares very well to my previous standard acoustic guitar. As I said I have small hands and I haven't found it a problem.

I bought this guitar secondhand and I haven't had any problems with it. I knocked it over and broke one of the machineheads (tuners) after having it for a couple of years, but that was my own fault and not due to any defects in the guitar. The finish is really good quality, I have owned this guitar and played it regularly for about 2 years and there is no sign of wear and tear. I don't play gigs - only for friends - so I can't say whether I wuold rely on it without a backup. What I would say is there is no particular reason not to rely on this, as compared to any other guitar - it isn't flimsy or badly made.

I haven't dealt with them yet, but I am in the process of trying to replace the machinehead I broke (I want a real Crafter one because they are beautifully made) so I'll come back and edit if it's excessively difficult!

I have been playing guitar around 5 years now. This is only the second guitar that I have ever owned, although I have played lots of others, including my boyfriend's. The previous one was a standard, large plywood (?) acoustic guitar. I found that a bit awkward and too big for me. This one is much easier for me to play because it's quite compact and fits well into my body, and the thinner neck is good for my hands. I love the sound and I'll play for hours until my fingers bleed! There is nothing I wish I'd asked, no regrets. If it got stolen or lost, yes I would definitely look out for it (or something very similar) again. I love looking at it, it's beautiful with lovely dark blue colours and beautifully made neck. I don't hate anythin about it.
The only note of caution is that I am not a professional (or anywhere near) and I don't really know about its 'electric guitar' features so don't take my word for it if that's your main concern.

made in Korea, (not sure of the year - 2000/01?) 20 frets, solid laminated top - deep blue, fading to black. limited amount of controls though - just volume and tone. transparent finish. pretty thin neck in comparison to other electro-accoustic guitars!

it suits my music style very well. i am a Christian and most of the songs i play are worship and praise songs, so this accoustic works well. it can be very loud but also pretty quiet and gentle, both stlyes i use when playing. i dont tend to play it on the amp as i prefer the sound, personally, without the amp. it sounds good without the amp anyway! the guitar has a rich and full tone on it when played, and it's quite a bright sound. theres not a lot of variety though...

it was set-up quite well. however - and im not sure if this is case with all models of this guitar - but the steel strings seems to be an awfully long way away from the fret, especially as you play lower down the frets. it really hurts my little fingers (as i am a woman and have delicate fingers!)...

i havent played my guitar live yet, but the hardware does seem as though it will last. its very strong and the finish is good enough to last. i think it will with hold a lot of playing.
at the moment i dont have a strap for my guitar (the holes in the one on my electric guitar are a bit too small!), but the strap buttons are solid.
i can depend on it - though i have not had it a great length of time - and i would probably use it at a gig (or big worship service!) without a backup

i have been playing about 3 and a half years - both acoustic and electric. this is my first elecrto-accoustic though. i compared it to 2 other crafter models (models not known). i have a 'Kustom' amp that came with my Fernandes electric guitar.
if i lost this guitar or it was stolen then i would more then likely to get this guitar again.
the things i love about it are the deep blue colour, the tone of the instrument when played. what i dont like about the guitar is the grief it gives my fingers! (my friend is a guitar expert and had offered to help me!) apart from that, there is nothing else that i am unhappy about!

20 frets, good sized round neck, a tad shallow at the top end though.
It's got a set of passive shadow pickups on it, but sadly let down by minimal controls, merely Volume and Tone. I'm sure it wouldn't have cost that much more to add decent controls.
It is a beautiful guitar, available in a deep blue fading to black or deep green to black, on a cutaway, half depth body, fiber-glass back, which doesn't quite vibe with the sounds as much as I'd prefer, but that's merely a personal preference

Suits my style to a tee, straight rhythm guitar, seems to work best on a medium thickness pick.
I've tried this on several different amps, a simple battery amp, a quality acoustic amp, and through a DI box.
Every time I've been dissapointed by the pickups. There is an excessively high treble bias on these, even with the tone set down low. Maybe a full EQ would have solved this, but it is a sad shame. As straight acoustic this produces a good full sound, I've tried using various strings, the best so far for it have been Country Gold's, but the downside is these don't work as well with the pickups (due to the nature of the strings, not a criticism of the guitar)

Action is pretty good. It's slightly high for me, but I've been assured it's good by guitarists I respect, I suspect my action problems are merely down to my technique more than anything. Set-up wasn't far out either, I've not needed to get it done until now.
The pickups are badly adjusted (see above), rediculously high on treble end, nigh on no bass.
I've had to file the holes at the bottom end of the guitar, if there is any flaw at the bottom of the strings there is a problem fitting them through. Sadly, it seems there are few perfect strings, regardless of the brand.
Pick-up selecter is dead quiet, not a single crackle from it, though there is a returned electric hum, but barely perceptable, except if the amp (or foldback) is right in front of you.

This guitar has done superbly in the 18 months I've had it. The top has taken a large variety of knocks, and only got one scratch on it. Any minor scratches have been easy to remove. The fiber-glass body is very durable.
Once, however, the socket has fallen back into the body of the guitar, which presented me with a frantic 20 minutes and some thankfully handy string to get it back out. Odd really, hadn't used the socket for a month or so, and it had been nice and tightly screwed in.
