Dreadnought acoustic. Solid Spruce top, birds eye back and sides, Rosewood fingerboard and grover tuners. Made in china. This was the version witout the built in pickup. This guitar looks fantastic and I was surprised to see Grover tuners on it. It was in a second hand shop and I spent about 20 minutes trying it out. I'm giving it an 9 based on looks and value for money.

Now apart from some fretbuzz which I'll talk about in a second this guitar had a lovely sound. Nice and bright. The fretbuzz let it down though and ultimatly put me off buying it.

The action was superb but there was alot of fretbuzz on the 1st 3 or 4 frets on almost all strings. I had a look and the neck was straight as an arrow. The fretbuzz was an issue for me as I know it can be sorted out by a luthier but when you take the low price into account you'd be better off buying a different guitar to start with. That said the looks were magnificent and this being second hand there were some dinks and scratches in it. Apart from that it was a great looking guitar.

I have grovers on my Gibson and they are very reliable. It was in tune when I picked it up and it didn't need to be tuned the whole time I was playing it. It appeared solid enough. As I said even with the wear this guitar looks great.

This guitar was on sale secondhand with fretbuzz and dinks for 167 pounds. I had seen the exact same guitar new with a pickup in a different shop for 199 pounds earlier that day, so I offered 90 for it and the grubby guy in the shop said he didn't believe me. Oh well his loss, the shop in question has a high turnover of instruments and its been in there slowly going down in price (from 199 the same as new!!!) for about 3 months, so its obvious hes had a hard time selling this instrument. The fretbuzz was unforgivable for that price secondhand so I left it. I decided to write this review though because if you do find one which plays well then they are well worth the money. On any other guitar I would of just left it as soon as I heard the buzz, but this guitar looks so great I gave it some serious thought. Its a very atractive instrument, but try before you buy.
