Now known as the AJ-200SCE, this is a Acoustic/Electric Semi- Cutaway guitar. Mahogany back and sides, solid Spruce top, Rosewood fingerboard.A Shadow Classic P4 pickup is standard.
It has a nice Natural finish. The craftsmanship is evident in all areas of this guitar, especially in this price range.

Plays quite well unplugged. A bit bright and thin compared to my Martin, probably due to the cutaway design but I play it alot without an amp and am quite satisfied with it.
Sounds great when plugged in, and a wide variety of tones can be achieved with the stock pickup. A friend of mine recorded a version of The Star Spangled Banner with this guitar, it can be listened to at www.erickinkel.com

It is a solid well designed instrument.I have heard that the electronics can be a bit fritzy with these guitars, but mine has worked well the past couple of years.

This guitar was a Warranty replacement. Epiphone stood by their product, and I give them a 10 on Customer Service. That is one of the reasons that I am a big Gibson/Epiphone enthusiast.

I have been playing since the mid 60's, only at home but I truly enjoy this guitar. It offers alot of features and value for the money, it is worth a look for a quality guitar for not much money.
