The AJ 100 has a full bassy sound,i scalloped the bracing on mine to give it a richer treble sound and if you do this procedure,it makes the guitar much louder also, giving it the tone of a 500 Masterbilt. It is an excellent choice for fingerstyle, bluegrass, and rock n roll work.

This guitar came brand new from the factory with full warranty and close inspection shows no flaws whatsoever.A peek in the soundhole revealed no shoddy workmanship(no glue bobs, uneven strutting, sawdust ..totally clean inside as well as out). The tuners are el cheapo but can be replaced at option.Otherwise this guitar is in the same league as the big boys.

My name is Bob Lindbeck,i play guitar professionally, specializing in the styles of Steve Howe and Randy Rhoads, and i have my own style as well.i own some nice guitars but don't always like to take my good ones out unless i know they'll be safe.Epiphone is an entity in itself,as it was an existant company cranking out fine guitars way before Gibson bought them out(unlike Squier by Fender, which is just a subdivision). This is not a junker by any means, and its great that it is within most anyone's budget. If anything happened to it,i'd buy another,or 2.
