I play Blues and Rock.The fretboard is smoother and faster than my Martin.The sound is rich,dynamic and clear.I play VERY aggressive and the pickup has yet to fail me yet in performance and tone.

I orig was looking for a guitar to gig with.In todays music scene I will not bring vintage or expensive stuff to gig with due to the chance of some crackhead getting my gear.I looked at Ovation,Washburn,POS plywood X-Martins(Martin should be ashamed for putting their name on those guitars)Ibanez,Fender,and regular Epiphones. but to get a well playing guitar,you get into a real Martin 1000+ price range.So the Salesperson told me about the Masterbuilt series and these ARENOT cheap made by no means.They sound and play as well as Guitars costing 3 times as much.Being a Martin Snob I was VERY surprised on the fit and finish,quality of the woods used and the TONE.Now I can play out and yes I would be pissed if it was damaged or stolen but at least it wont break the bank either. The rating of a 9 is for the Satin Finish.Gloss would have resulted in a 10+
Reliability/Durability

I beat the crap out of my acoustics.Stays in tune.So far its been bullet proof.I think these will be usable in any venue(Rock Counrty Blues Etc Etc Etc).Not a one trick pony at all.This is a PLAYERS guitar.Not a Closet Queen at all.

A great PLAYERS guitar that DOES NOT skimp on quality to meet a price range.The people across the Pacific Pond are getting really good lately at building guitars.
