I just bought a used Epiphone Masterbuilt model # DE500MENS. Electric accoustic. Can't find it anywhere on the net.I have been playing guitar for over 40 years, basically a drummer but a guitar freak. I am a Martin man by choice and quality and sound. This guitar is equal to a Martin D-15 AT LEAST, NO BULL! Very fine musical instument. I do not know where it is made or much about it but it is a fine guitar in all respects. Beautiful wood fine neck etc. A most perfect hollow body guitar. I paid 350 for it and feel I got a hell of a buy. It is used but doesn't show its age or use. The top is a little shiney but that gives it mojo. What I want in here is some info on this model. Epiphone does not list it and I have not been to find out any info on this particular model. Can you help me out?

Sound : 10
I play blues and old r and r and write my own songs. The sound eminating out of this guitar is awesome. I am not a lead player but fairly good at rhythm and this little baby is fine. I dislike nothing about this guitar.

Action, Fit, & Finish : No Opinion
It is used and I have seen her in action but my friend bought a Breedlove electric accoustic so I bought this from him. No flaws whatsoever. Had there been one flaw I would not have bought it as I am a collector/player. I have a Martin D-15 and D-18 and bought my son a Martin I think D-20 something electric non cutaway electric for almost 3000 dollars and this little bitch compares favorably to all of my Martins.

Reliability/Durability : No Opinion
This guitar has been played out live in smokey bars here in south Florida. Absolutely no signs of abuse. A real tough well made guitar. A litte shiney on the top from skin contact but as I said it gives it mojo. Very well made mucical instument, bout all I can say. I have no complaints with her whatsoever.

I have been buying guitars for over 40 years. I am a Fender and Martin man. I have an Epiphone 52 Gold Top with soap bar pu's and it is just as good if not better than a damned Gibson. A real screamer. Gibson guitars are so over priced for what you get. I have gotten stung on 2 Gibson purchases over the years, just real crap in my mind. I bought a new Les Paul Studio when they first came out and it was JUNK! Did not hold up. Fell apart. Please email if you have any info on this model.
