Features sing cutaway, natural spruce top, line of inlays down the back mahogany neck rosewood finger board. All the details about the woods and construction can be found on the Epiphone website. The neck is a joy to play. easy access to the upper frets, great on-board electronics. XLR and jack outputs.

Sound : 10
The sound is the best thing about this guitar, full rich and bright. I use this guitar for everything, strumming, picking, I have even put it through effects and a valve amp to use as a substitute electric.

The real joy is when it is plugged in. The sound comes across rich and clear still without that horrendous fizzy "Ovation" sound that you often associate with piezo pickups.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
Mine has signs of ignorance and abuse - mainly the bridge where in my foolish and careless youth I used screwdrivers to prise out the string petgs - what an IDIOT! shame as otherwise this is a very pretty neat guitar.

Reliability/Durability : 7
I bought it second hand about 14 years ago. I don't know how old it was then, I am going to chase the serial number to see if I can date it. Now in all that time I have never got the LR working. It could be that there is a broken cable inside. I have never actively tried to fix it though. The other niggle is that the battery case cover is a little loose now. A blob of blue tack on the back of the battery keeps everything in place. And that is after 14 years of medium useage.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Customer support? Who the hell uses customer support for a second hand guitar? That is what luthiers are for.

Overall Rating : 10
Despite my tiny niggles I have to say I have never found an acoustic that is so easy and such a joy to play. Plus sounds as good plugged in as it does acoustic. I have a friend who has a collection of top notch guitars (Custom shop Gibson's, a 25th Anniversary Strat, Taylor guitars etc) and he has been badgering me to sell this to him for years!

This guitar is really fantastic! I bought one second hand, made in 1999 in Korea. It has a select spruce top and the body and neck material is beautiful mahogany. Fretboard is rosewood with really nice split diamond inlays. The back of the body has a very beautiful line of inlay. Body style is single cutaway. I have it in natural finish which is really fantastic. The binding is very sober but perfect. It has 20-medium frets. Tuners are gotoh's in chrome/gold. It has onboard pre-amp, with 5-EQ (bright, treble, mid, bass, sub bass) and volume, the shadow Epiphonic Six from Electar (the pre-amp is made in the USA)
I had mine with an extra set of strings... Martin Custom lights.

I was really amazed by it's sound! It has such a Rich, full, warm and bright sound. Really you can create any sound you want with it! I play all round so that's a really good eauture for me. Mostly it's Blues, Jazz, Fusion, Rock and Pop i play. This guitar suits perfect my music styles. I like just everything at this guitar. Absolutely no dislikes as so far.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
As i bought it second hand i don't know how it was set up back in '99. But the previous owner did set it up very well. Really good action. It plays featherlight. Hardware; bridge, nut, wood... just everything was good in order.

Reliability/Durability : 9
I haven't used it yet for lve playing... but i will soon. The hardware looks like a rock and it will last forever i guess :)
Finish is perfect and strap buttons look reliable. I would definately use it for ggs without backup.

Customer Support : 9
Well... no warranty from the factory of course, but the man who i bought it from was very very friendly and he said i could always contact him if something went wrong with the guitar so good support!
