I paid 143.00 for the guitar with a hard shell case, two instructional videos, an electronic tuener, one extra set of strings, 3 picks, a guitar strap and a Esteban CD. With taxes and S&H it came to $165.00. I think that it was an excellent deal for the price. The sound is very good. It isn't the easiest guitar to play, but is about the same as any other guitar in a local music store for under $500.00.
Usually I play classical guitars. I bought this as a low cost alternative toy, and I am very happy with what I got.
If you are an adult male looking for a second guitar or just taking up the guitar this is a good one to start with.
I think that it is to hard to fret for an average woman or a chiald.

Not sure what year it was made but it was made in China. Not that products from China are bad or anything. Came with a nylon case, extra strings, electronic tuner, Estaban CD, and an instruction video. I think I paid $150 on HSN. Not bad. I'll give it a 6 because of all the stuff that came with it. Basic looking guitar .... it's alright.

Well it ain't no Martin but hey, if you want the sound of a Martin go buy a Martin. The sound is decent. It's loud and bright. Similar to an old (1978) Yamaha acoustic that I have. This is a good starter guitar for the price.

On the neck, right at the fretboard, there is some sort of black paint that comes off on your hand (my thumb) when you play it. It resembles magic marker and appears to be there to cover the areas where they sanded the fret metal down to be smooth with the neck. I'm banking on it rubbing out after playing it for a few weeks. Hope it comes of my thumb and I hope my thumb doesn't come off :). Neck is straight, no buzzes. It has a truss rod to adjust if need be, wrench was included. I stummed the hell out of it, bent the strings,... I did all I could. Tuners seem to hold okay. I'm not a wood expert but the grain is somewhat fine, which is good for a acoustic guitar. The top is solid. Came with no scratches or dings. The packaging it shipped in was good. Of course, the nut and saddle are plastic - no biggy.

It'll do you okay until you save your sheckles for that Gibson Hummingbird. I wouldn't take it to a gig or anything radical like that.......sit back, relax, watch his instruction video, and practice practice practice. That's the purpose of this guitar. I believe you could probably get 2 - 4 years out of it before you just say, "Hey, I really wanted a a Gibson ES-135 anyway." Well, that's me.

I've only been playing this guitar for a week. I bought this guitar to take camping with me and with all the extras...what the hell. If it accidentally falls into the campfire or, because of that black paint stuff on the neck, gets to close to the fire and bursts into flames, it'll just be a story I can share with my beer drinking buddies. Shoot, that would be a hoot if it burst into flames. I own several Gibson and Fender electrics, many acoustical guitars, and a classical. My biggest regret is that I've sold even more. Never sell-your regret it! Just loosen the strings, put it in a case, and stow it deep in your closet. Believe me, you'll miss it years later.

After seeing the smiling sombreroed guitar playing conman of HSN at 1:30 am in the morning I made a big mistake by ordering a $100 dollar headache from HSN. I really hated to play it! It was a nightmare since day one. WARNING ....WARNING! **************** Never buy this piece of wood. After seeing him on the show, with a constant smile on his face...I thought at that time that he was stoned while doing the comercial but now after I recived this piece of s***...I found out what he was smiling about...he was selling nothing for somthing and getting away with it!

I thought the finish was the worst I've ever seen!!! It was very thin and fret board was seperating from the body of the guitar. The top 3 strings buzzed from the 10th fret all the way up the neck. The neck was worpped.
The finish of the guitar after playing for an hour on the neck of it the finish would get all over my hands! And I would put magic marker on it every time you play it!

Terriable Customer Support!! Since I wanted my refund I sent It back in and they sent it back to me, I told them I didn't want It and they kept on shipping it back to me! It is like pulling Klenex out of the box ...It keeps on coming and coming.
I found out when I went on Ebay that the guitar with case was worth $17.00!!
