Solid Engleman spruce top and solid Rosewood back and sides Finished with a thin shiny poly coat. Cutaway Dreadnaught style body. The neck is Mahogany with a Macasar Ebony fingerboard with one "F" inlay at the 12th fret, bridge is also ebony. Maple and Ebony Binding, The only plastic on this guitar is the Shadow pre-amp!. Tuners are Grover in gold with Ebony buttons, the bridge pins are ebony with mop inlays and brass rings. The Nut and saddle are man made bone, something called Nubone.
I beleive this is a 2008 model as they only started adding the single "f" inlay in March this year made in a small workshop in Indonesia. It also comes with a brown hardcase.
Electrics are Shadow with a nanoflex piezo pick up under the saddle and a Shadow pre-amp with Volume, Bass, treble, an EQ-shift button which I think add's more mid's and a phase button for cancelling feedback (which I can confirm works very well in a live setting).

I play Blues, Bluegrass, oldtime, folk, rock etc and this guitar is spot on, the gloss finish adds a bright flavour to the full bass produced by the deep dreadnaught body giving a sweet and balanced tone, it's gorgeous for open chords, flatpicking, finger style etc. I couldn't be happier with it. I play it live at the moment direct to the PA and it sounds just as nice as it does unplugged, the EQ-shift button on the pre-amp vanquishes any hint of piezo shrillness that I have encountered on guitars in the past, whilst keeping the full tone of the guitar.
The sustain is incredible as well I might add.

I bought the guitar of ebay as brand new damaged goods and got this guitar at less than half the retail price, the only damaged whilst quite nasty at first is at the very upper edge of the soundboard, your elbow covers it when playing anyway. Action was medium height, completely playable but to high for my liking, so I lowered it myself. There's not a flaw in the finish asides from the ding previously mentioned. The neck is bolt-on with 2 vertically adjacent bolts, and the gap on the outside is non existent. The frets are exceptionally well done, I have had nasty experience of awful fret jobs in the past, but this was perfect. Intonation is 100% spot on to my ears.

I have gigged 5 times now with this guitar without a back up and it's performed very well, It holds tune till days after the gig when I pick it up again. I am sure this guitar will be around long after I have left the show. It feels like a very good quality guitar. I am confident using it again and again on stage.

I have been playing for 15 years or so, I have downsized my gear since my daughter was born, I now have a Dean Resonator, and my home beater a Vintage V300 which is another amazingly good acoustic. If it were lost or stolen I doubt I could afford to pay the ??500 right now for another new, so I would just be quite depressed. It's just such a characterful guitar, it's a joy to play and a joy to listen to. I played a few for around ??400 in the shops and didn't enjoy any of them, so I decided to hit ebay and really scored with this guitar.
