This is an electric/acoustic, made in Indonesia. Strange and wonderful guitar. I found it used at a guitar store for a very good price and picked it up after playing for awhile. It caught my eye immediately from the wall for its striking good looks, and when I played it I was impressed. It has gold hardware, ebony fingerboard, pearl dot neck inlays, a solid spruce top, standard dreadnought shape, but a little sexier than most standard dreadnoughts. I was told that this guitar is produced by Yamaha, which actually made me feel good since I have always been impressed by Yamaha acoustics. This guitar has a "2" stamped on the back of the headstock, so I assuume it's a 2nd of some kind. There are no finish flaws (in fact the top is very lovely, slightly darker natural color than most newer acoustics with natural tops),
Ibut the onboard e.q. may be the reason for its "2nd" status. They are individual round knobs, mounted directly into the top of the body, treble, bass, mid and volume. Three knobs are together and one is up nearer the heel of the neck. The separate one should probably be the volume, but for some quirky reason it's the mid knob. I think it was simply wired wrong, but I've gotten used to it.

I was immediately impressed with this guitar's acoustic tone. It's fairly loud, I think the solid top helps that. I hadn't had much experience with acoustic/electrics when I bought it, but it sounded okay that way, too, at the store.
Since then I've played it quite a bit at my church in our very contemporary music services. It sounds wonderful. A good friend of mine plays a very nice Takamine in church, also, and it's pickup sounds very woody, airy and natural. This Indonesian-made Fender sounds very, very close to it, which was totally surprising to me and exceeded all my expectations. We a/b'ed these two guitars one day through the sound system and the Fender even seemed to have a little more bass response than the Takamine.
The other thing I'm impressed with is this guitar's lack of that piezo pickup "quack" or syrupy tone, which I hate. Sounds fake. The Takamine doesn't have that tone. Another guitar player in our church has a Fender acoustic with a Fishman pickup system, and it DOES have that piezo tone. Strange. Mine is not a Fishman, at least it doesn't say so, and sounds great. Go figure.

Everything's pretty great. My low E seems a little dull, like it's being muted, so I need to get it taken in to a technician for a look into that, but otherwise it looks and feels perfect.

Had this guitar for 2.5 years now and it's held up great to regular playing. In fact, we had a popular Christian rock band come through to play at our church...their truck with their guitars broke down and couldn't make it, so the guitarist used my Fender guitar for songs he usually played electric on, rockin' songs, too. The guitar held its tune and sounded great. He even commented afterwards how great it played.

Never called on Fender.

Been playing for about 15 years. All styles. Also own Les Paul, Strat, G&L ASAT, Epiphone Les Paul Special double-cutaway, Danelectro 12-string. This is my only acoustic. I think it's a pretty rare bird, so if it were lost somehow I don't know how I'd replace it. I'd probably get a Takamine or Taylor. I haven't been too impressed with other Fender electrics I've heard.
I reviewed this just in case someone else out there comes across one and wonders, like I did, what in the world it is.
