and gain/volume control,strap buttons,dreadnought laminated spruce
top, nylon nut,EQ-9volt powered,I'm not one for fluff and am usually
critical of anything made in china but i have to say they must have
good quality control at the chinese fender factory...everything is
good or above average on this guitar it has a very nice not to brite
sound.came w/diaddareos i put elixers on mine they sound excellent
the guitar, tuners and EQ/tuner all do what is expected of them did
i mention its got a real nice case also for under $275 SWEET!!!

Sound : 8
Sounds great and there's a full range of tone possibilties EQ is
fairly responsive tuners hold pitch well whats not to like for
$300 bucks??? and hard shell case!!!!

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
CNC Mill on neck is straight as should be action was a tad bit
high even so it played well,i lowered mine a bit, finish is very
good quality/conditioned and man was this thing packed for shipping well, also has black binding i only found one teeny tiny ding the size
so small only i know its there

Reliability/Durability : No Opinion

Been playing 35yrs i've used alot of acoustic in that time always
someone else's got 10 axe's a stack and bunch of toys but if lost
or stolen for $275 i'd buy another one...it's a great buy make sure
you get the CD60CE and not CD60....this one has the excellent
onboard tuner/EQ w/gain/volume control...I'll say it again
it's a great buy and i'm very pleased.

I bought this guitar to serve as an inexpensive acoustic/electric to bring to open mic nights and perhaps occasionally do some casual recording with. Didnt want to spend more than $300. I saw this guitar at the local music store, liked how it played, and the included hardshell case sealed the deal for me.

Unplugged...it has a bright, crisp tone which does sound rather good for a laminate top. Not as much low-end or projection as a big bodied jumbo but it gets the job done.

Plugged in...The EQ is very responsive and you can dial in a good sound with relative ease.

Realize that this guitar is built to a price point and will definitely not replace your Martin or Gibson. But for the price range it sounds more than adequate in my opinion.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 7
Factory setup was not too bad. Action was nice and low without much buzz. However I like to tune a half step down, so eventually I did have to raise the action a bit to avoid some buzz on the first couple frets.

I could detect no flaws in the woods. The back, sides, and neck have nice reddish-brown grain showing through. The sunburst top looks good for the price point. However the soundhole inlays and pickguard do look slightly "cheap" up close.

Frets are nicely done, no complaints about hardware since it all seems to be quality.

I was expecting to have to replace the tuners...but it turns out the stock ones hold tune pretty well so I probably wont bother.

Reliability/Durability : 7
The guitar seems solid and dependable and should hopefully last awhile.

Ive been playing guitar and bass for about 8 years. I own or have owned in the past various gear from Fender, Peavey, Yamaha, Tech 21, Crate, etc.

I compared this guitar to similarly priced acoustic/electrics from Washburn, Ibanez, Epiphone, etc. I did consider the Ibanez, but the included hardshell case sold me on the Fender.

Overall...this guitar is a pretty good value and a nice choice for the casual player, people on a budget, or just as an inexpensive acoustic/electric for playing open mics and stuff like that.
