The CD-60CE is a laminated top dreadnought guitar with a Fender FTE-3TN preamp with tuner. It is made in China. It's available in 3 different finishes. I purchased the Black one. Included with it is a Fender hardshell case.

Sound : 7
The sound of the guitar is good but not as bright as a top end acoustic, but compared to similarly priced guitars it is leading the pack. I've owned guitars that cost 4 times the price of the CD-60CE that didn't sound as good. I primarily acoustic rock and it does the job fine.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 7
It arrived new with a nearly perfect setup. I've yet to adjust anything other than tuning the strings. The neck is straight. The action is a little high, but could be adjusted by sanding the saddle a bit. I'll do this eventually, but the higher action is fine. If anything its made my fingers stronger. The finish on it is nice and glossy black with now noticeable flaws that I found.

Reliability/Durability : 7
Like anything else as long as its properly cared for it should last a long time. I don't play anywhere but home so can't really comment, but I would be comfortable using this anywhere.

Customer Support : 5
Haven't had to deal with customer support. Has a limited lifetime warranty which means the body is lifetime, everything else (tuners, pick guard, electronics) is covered for 1 year.

Overall Rating : 7
I used to play, but quit playing several years ago. I bought this as an inexpensive way to start playing again. To me this was the best bang for the buck in the $250 range. Especially, with the hardshell case.

This guitar is dreadnought with cutaway.
Sealed tuners wich I thought I may have to change but no they stay in tune really well.
Gloss Black finnish with white edge decoration wich is well finnished the sound hole and scratch plate look cheap but we can live with that.
The neck is very thin makes it a ideal guitar for smaller hands,
neck is made from Nato, back and sides are Laminated Mahogany, top is Laminated Spruce finger board is Sonokelingand ,has 20 frets wich are done well and filed edges. the whole finnish of this guitar is very well done.
The Fishman Mimi Q EQ with volume and tone controls work really well the only thing my guitar is missing is a tuner and it would have had a 10 rating but for the price i cant complain.

Sound : 8
The sound range this guitar has is great for its price, unplugged with a nice set of DR strings on it it sounds great.
Im not gonna comment on plugged in as that will always depends on the amp used all i will say is with a good amp it sounds good.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
The set up was satisfactory out of the box action was a little high but very playable the action being high I found it good for fingerstyle as the neck is so small the action compensated.

The finnish and fit was great for the price no complaints atall no flaws whatsoever.

Reliability/Durability : No Opinion
It stays in tune really well,
The build is great this guitar should last a long time very solid
I would gig with this guitar with a backup.

For the price it is reliable and solid with good strings you should have no problems with it

Customer Support : No Opinion
Came with 12 months warranty. never had a problem with it so no opinion being fender though I would assume no problems with support.

Overall Rating : 9
Been playing for 12 years.
If this guitar was stolen it would not be the end of the world because it was cheap but I would be unhappy and would buy the same guitar again, I really like this guitar great for beginners and even advanced players as a practice setup well built with a nice sound.
in its price range I would say its one of the best on the market all it is missing is a tuner. all in all very happy with it

I bought this guitar to serve as an inexpensive acoustic/electric to bring to open mic nights and perhaps occasionally do some casual recording with. Didnt want to spend more than $300. I saw this guitar at the local music store, liked how it played, and the included hardshell case sealed the deal for me.

Unplugged...it has a bright, crisp tone which does sound rather good for a laminate top. Not as much low-end or projection as a big bodied jumbo but it gets the job done.

Plugged in...The EQ is very responsive and you can dial in a good sound with relative ease.

Realize that this guitar is built to a price point and will definitely not replace your Martin or Gibson. But for the price range it sounds more than adequate in my opinion.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 7
Factory setup was not too bad. Action was nice and low without much buzz. However I like to tune a half step down, so eventually I did have to raise the action a bit to avoid some buzz on the first couple frets.

I could detect no flaws in the woods. The back, sides, and neck have nice reddish-brown grain showing through. The sunburst top looks good for the price point. However the soundhole inlays and pickguard do look slightly "cheap" up close.

Frets are nicely done, no complaints about hardware since it all seems to be quality.

I was expecting to have to replace the tuners...but it turns out the stock ones hold tune pretty well so I probably wont bother.

Reliability/Durability : 7
The guitar seems solid and dependable and should hopefully last awhile.

Ive been playing guitar and bass for about 8 years. I own or have owned in the past various gear from Fender, Peavey, Yamaha, Tech 21, Crate, etc.

I compared this guitar to similarly priced acoustic/electrics from Washburn, Ibanez, Epiphone, etc. I did consider the Ibanez, but the included hardshell case sold me on the Fender.

Overall...this guitar is a pretty good value and a nice choice for the casual player, people on a budget, or just as an inexpensive acoustic/electric for playing open mics and stuff like that.
