I play it mostly unplugged. It has a very balanced tone from bottom to top. It has a "depth" of sound that's certainly above average for a cutaway model guitar. Excellent projection. The onboard preamp is pretty basic and seems to be adequate. I usaully either strum or fingerpick and it sounds good either way.

I must admit I was somewhat leery of what to expect from the China factory. But, I've gotta tip my hat to Fender's quality department. The guitar is very "neat". No sloppiness that I've been able to detect. From the internal bracing to the hardware to the cosmetic finish--it is nice and tidy. Action from the factory was "just right".

I've had the guitar for 3 months and play it everday. It has that "solid feel" about it that lends me to believe it will last a long time.

Okay, I'll admit it--I think the Strat head on this baby is just freakin' cool. I've been an admirer of Fender acoustics for quite awhile, but this is the first one I've ever purchased. (Personally I think the Fender acoustics are somewhat "under-apprreciated".) I've owned only a few guitars over the past 25 years, but I've "played" a lot of guitars and this one is definately a "keeper". I will say there are a few other brands in this intermediate price range that sound "as good" as the Sonoran, but I haven't played one that sounds "better" than the Sonoran.

Got this to replace my round back ovation.Tone is about the same with the same weak low end,but at least it sits still in my lap.The neck is very electric like and very easy to play.Sounds best when plugged in and is how i use it.

Set up was right on from the factory, came strung with 12's. I restrung it with 11's a week later. Fit and finish was flawless,a big surprise for such an inexpensive guitar. Electronics work perfect and are easy to use.

I picked up my first guitar in 1962,and I'm still at it today. Have played and owned dozens of guitars. I rate this guitar as one of my 'GOOD' buys and i would replace if lost. I think what you get for the price here, makes it a good value. It's easy to play and looks good in the stage lights. This may be a good choice for the beginner or the pro who wants a named brand guitar with good looks, average tone
and something alittle retro.
