My Fender is a 1999 model; no clue about where it was made. No electronics, gloss finish, dreadnought body (no cutaway). Full scale; 21 frets, rosewood fretboard. Don't know about the rest of the features offhand; if you want to know you can always check Fender's website. I'm not a big fan of choosing guitars based on specs; I just look for the features I need and then see if it gives me a decent sound :) I'm happy with the features but my acoustic gets a 7 just since I know it's not top end in this category.

I play mostly fingerstyle (almost never use a pick, even when strumming). Do a lot of genres; a little classical but mostly contemporary rock and pop. The DG-21S does well for this. Good sound from the high strings; bright but full. The bass is somewhat poorly defined but it does alright for what I need. Definitely a great sound for the price range; actually sounds better than some of the Taylors and MOST of the Martin's I've played which cost more than three times as much ($1200 and upward).

I've never had my action adjusted. There is an occasional rattle in the bass when I strum really hard, but that's unavoidable, in my opinion. Action is great; neck is comfortable. Top seems bookmatched fine; as far as I can tell everything about the finish and assembly is perfect except for a little extra gloss (urethane or whatever the hell that is) in a spot on the headstock.

I play mostly recreationally and I really baby my guitar, so I couldn't say what it will really stand up to. I've had it for a year and everything about it is still brand spanking new (but like I said, I'm very protective of my instrument). Seems solid (I would trust it) but I have no basis for judgment.

I've played piano and sung (both seriously) for the majority of my 22 years, and as a result I have a pretty well-trained ear. I taught myself guitar over the past year and I must say that I'm impressed by the sound of this guitar. I do drool over the mid to high end Taylors from time to time (especially for their bass response), but I can't justify paying an extra $1000 for a guitar that, while beautiful and damn nice, sounds only slightly better than my Fender. The DG-21 is an excellent choice if you're a beginner/intermediate player who doesn't want to drop a ton of cash, but doesn't want to settle for a low quality guitar.
If something happened to my guitar, I might buy it again, but would probably shoot for a Taylor if I had the cash. Don't be fooled by the fact that I haven't given my guitar a 9 or a 10 in every category (as it seems most people at this site do on guitars that cost more than about $200). I love my guitar; I just recognize that it's not the best I could get - I'd just have to have a lot more free $$$ :)
