made in korea, 2005 oder 2006 i guess...so what?
unless you don't wanna spend a month's paycheck on an accoustic guitar you gotta settle with this-and i think it's absolutely sufficient
it's got 20 frets.it comes with little accessories and it's just a guitar to play, nothing fancy comes to it.not that i expected anything else when i bought it though.
i'm not big on wood so i can't really tell you what it is, although some users before me have stated its maple backed and sided, as well as the neck.
it's solid top too.

all in all i think i've made a good deal with this and i'm gonna play it for a bit now i think :)

Sound : 10
i'm not a very experienced guitar-player, but i love this guitar
i played other accoustic guitars and in general like songs in which accoustic guitars are used, and i gotta say:the sound of this guitar is very full, and bright, really satisfying for what you pay for it
some people stated its loud
i can assure you it MAY be loud if you want it to be, but if you dont want it to be, it won't be

Action, Fit, & Finish : 7
the action is ok
after some time the low e might start buzzing and shows you you gotta change the strings
the stock strings are crap, i put some slinky ernie ball's on it and they sound beautiful
the reason im only giving this a 7 is that when i changed strings last time, two of the little pins which hold the strings to the bridge broke...i dont know if i just handled it wrong but that kinda sucked, had to buy new ones (80 euro-cent a piece so they werent THAT cheap)

but all in all the strings stay in tune and usually dont need any retuning

Reliability/Durability : No Opinion
i can't give any opinion on this since i never even considered playing a gig ^^
but i guess i would depend on it if i did, there's not much that can go wrong and so far, no strings snapped or any other unsuspected things happened

Customer Support : No Opinion
never tried that either

Overall Rating : 10
i have been playing for about a year but i like this guitar so much, i would definitely get a new one if this one got stolen
i especially love this guitar's sound, it's just fun playing for music's sake, and now really-nowadays 300euro isnt that much anymore and what you could get for your 300euro if you buy this guitar is simply amazing.
it's made in korea, sure, but does it matter?it may not be perfect but it comes close...

Made 1996; made in Korea with a solid top. Maple back, sides and neck. natural finish with a high gloss. Locking tuners, gold plated;

Sound : 10
I play country gospel, contemporary gospel, bluegrass gospel. Pick and finger style. I just received it today. It sounds like a Martin I once had.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
I purchase this guitar used, but it looks like it has the factory settings, easy to cord, no buzz. I mentioned above it sounds like a Martin I once had, well the finish is like the Martin I had as well, the Martin was birdseye maple, this one is flaming maple, both natural finish. All looks like new and in great shape.

Reliability/Durability : 10
feels very sturdy. I sometimes get a little rough on a guitar and often break strings (D or G) Ha Ha, but serious. I've only played this guitar an hour but I can just tell that it's a high quality make. This is my 2nd fender 1st was a Gemini II. This one is easier and feels more sturdy.

I started playing in 1988 and purchased a Martin in 1989. I sold the Martin in 2004 and purchased a Fender Gemini 2, My brother wanted to learn so I sold him my Gemini 2 and I started searching. I had regretted selling my Martin because of the beauty and the sound. When I seen this one, it had the same look as the Martin. I checked the reviews and noticed the compliments given so I purchased it. I've very happy and I would buy it all over again even at more $$$

Not a luxury guitar but also not a cheapo...it does have gold plated tuners...this one, however, is all about the maple neck, sides, and back...maple is the feature you get when you buy this guitar and the price for a well-constructed maple acoustic guitar like this cannot be beat.

Sound : 10
A particular kind of sound is what a maple-bodied acoustic is all about. Super dense and hard wood gives a sound like no other. Playing this guitar is like drinking whisky straight or drinking coffee black...either you got the taste for it or you don't. This kind of wood takes a lifetime to age, so properly cared for, this guitar will just get better and better. Either you like the maple sound or you dont. I love it and that is what I bought this beast for.

I put Dean Markley Medium (.013 - .058) Vintage Bronze strings on this thing. Heh. Feels like driving a 67 Nova with 396, if you know what I mean...

Action, Fit, & Finish : 7
Korean made with the obvious precision of low cost labor and automated production. Not going to get that hand made feel from this one. A factory guitar from a factory.

Reliability/Durability : 10
Hello, it's maple.

It's perfect for me for my budget. I will keep and play this guitar forever and pass it to my kids.

Year made unsure. Made in Korea. I think I paid $375 or something for it. I over paid alittle for it after I saw it on the net. It's your basic dreadnought guitar, non-cutaway, solid spruce top, laminated maple sides and back, rosewood fingerboard (aren't they all these days?).

Sound : 6
The sound is OK - It is diffinately not loud as alot of reviewers have wrote. I play with a guy that has a Guild, when we play together I can't even hear my own guitar, so if that's loud to you...
(I relize there is a huge price difference)
It is a bright and clear sounding guitar, the stock strings are garbage and sound be replaced with Martin or Dadario strings ASAP.
I think for the money this is a good sounding guitar that should sound better with time. It is a hard package to beat. The action was good from the shop, the tuners seem to stay in tune descent. Overall this is a good beginners guitar.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
The finish of this guitar is great. I have the natural finish, the flamed sides and back look very nice. The gold tuners set the blonde look nicely. I really like the clearcoat or whatever they they spray over the whole guitar body, it protects the guitar great. I've banged into a lot of stuff over the the last year and it doesn't even have one scratch on it!

Reliability/Durability : 9
I think I can count on this guitar, even if I threw it off the roof of my house!

Customer Support : No Opinion
Haven't used

Overall Rating : 7
If you like to play guitar a lot, I'd save your money for a few more months and get sometime nice in the $650-800 range. If you aren't sure what your doing or just need something to start playing on this is a good buy. I like the guitar, for the money it's nice. It's no Martin, Guild, etc

Made in 1995. Made in Korea. Solid-Top made out of Spruce. 2 Tone Sunburst. Flame maple sides.
The finish is very nice! It compares to a Martin, I got lucky.

Sound : 9
This is a very loud guitar with a solid spruce top. Sounds
amazing for its price. I play classic rock. I have no dislikes
with this guitar.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 7
This guitar needed to be grinded and polished and the bridge bone
replaced to a thicker one. It plays awesome now without any
buzzing.

I could not ask for a better finish on the top.

Reliability/Durability : 8
This guitar has held up great. I would bring this to a gig without
a backup.

Customer Support : No Opinion

Overall Rating : 10
This was my 1st guitar. I got really lucky with this one. I did
have to put money into it to get it grinded and polished (it
had slight fret buzzing that annoyed me) but other than that
it sounds excellent! and plays great. I do not ever plan on selling
this guitar. My friend purchased a newer DG-22CE (electric/acoustic)
that I did not find the same feel for playing his. Every guitar
comes out of the factory different and I got really luck with this
one. I love it.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
From factory it had a great action. I mean common I bought the guitar in 1999 it was a 1995 model!!!! no joke. it played great when i got it and then took it and had the action lowered(just a bit)i love this thing even more.
the finish is a beutiful gloss finish (toough as nails too )

Reliability/Durability : 9
HAve not played it live but have around with other players. this thing is tough
IT KEEPS ITS TUNE VERY WELL !!!
I have others but I love this guitar I would compare it to more expensive models. I know that really expensive models would make it look dorky but maybe for almost twice the price i would compare

Customer Support : No Opinion
not sure about this since i bought it new in 99 and it is a 95 model i sent my papers but i dunno

Overall Rating : 9
I would buy another if i lost it somehow but I would buy the cherry color even though a friend of mine has one in tht color. sh don't tell'em.
For the price though it is great guitar and i would highl;y reccomend this guitar for exp. and especially begginners

This is a Korean made guitar. It has flame maple sides with a solid spruce top. Rosewood fingerboard.

Sound : 10
I love the sound of this guitar when I get the right strings on it. I have been playing for 10 years and I bought this guitar about 4 years ago. It still seems brand new to me. I thought about (and played) a lot of acoustics and this one just spoke to me. The sound was tight with room to grow. It was not tinny at all. I feel like this guitar is still maturing.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
I have not had this guitar set up and it sounds fine. I am, however, going to take it in cause I have a little buzz on my low E.

Reliability/Durability : 10
This guitar does hold it's tune VERY well. I think the finish on the sides and the back are gorgeous.

Overall Rating : 9
I am sure that a Taylor would reduce me to tears, but I have NEVER regretted buying this guitar. I would probably upgrade to a Martin or Taylor next time, but this guitar really sounds nice compared to others in it's price range.

This is a standard dreadnought made in Korea for Fender. It has a solid spruce top, and flame maple neck, back, and sides, with a natural gloss finish. The tuning hardware is gold plated. The fingerboard is rosewood (14 frets clear of the body), as is the bridge. No electronics. It's a very pretty guitar.

Sound : 7
This guitar is bright, well balanced, and LOUD. I expected the bright tone; that's why I chose a maple bodied guitar. What I didn't expect was the volume; it's much louder than comparable guitars I tried. It sounds terrific playing rhythm parts, which is pretty much all I do. If I had a complaint, it would be that the bass is too loud; it can be overpowering. But it's a dreadnought, and they're known for their loud bass.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 5
The action on this guitar was great out of the box (maybe a little too great; the low E rattles just a bit at times; nothing a little setup work won't cure). The finish overall was good, with one very small flaw in the top; it looks like it might be a tiny knot. It wasn't enough to keep me from buying the guitar, but it brings down the rating here.

Reliability/Durability : 7
This guitar is very solidly built, and the finish seems durable. I have only had it a month, but it seems very tough. The hardware is nice and solid. I'm not sure about the durability of the gold plating on the tuning machines; time will tell. I only play at home, so reliability is not an issue for me.

Customer Support : 5
I requested info on this guitar and another Fender model via e-mail. They eventually got back to me, but it took about two weeks. They probably don't have enough people to handle the volume. This instrument has a limited lifetime warranty.

Overall Rating : 8
This guitar more than met my expectations. It's my second Fender acoustic (my first was a DG5), and I've been pleased with both. I've been playing again for about a year, after a 20 year sabbatical, and this is my first step up from the beginner guitar I bought last year. For the money spent, this guitar is a great value.

1998 model. I bought this as my first ever guitar - knowing nothing about guitars at the time. Solid spruce top, flame maple back and sides, maple neck and rosewood fingerboard. It's a dreadnought body, no cutaways, 20 frets - just bog standard. Gold hardware which is really nice - the tuning machines are Fenders own, sealed and lubed - really nice smooth action.
The guitar is finished in a really nice high-gloss cherry finish and looks great. Not everyone's cut of tea - but it just spoke to me when I walked through the shop door and I had to have it.
All in all, it's a standard mid range acoustic guitar. But it is built like a tank, has taken many knocks without a scratch. It also holds its tune IMMACULATELY.
I owuld rate this higher than a 5 for features - but hey - how many features ARE there on an acoustic guitar ?

Sound : 9
This guitar sounds great. All my guitar playing friends pick it up and go "Oh right - a Fender acoustic(sneer)", then they play it, do a double take, play it again and say "I really didn't know these were this good". Having said that, it's what I would imagine a "Fender" acoustic tone would be like anyway - delicate it ain't. It's a real ballsy, bluesy acoustic guitar - plenty of treble and mid and a good hard bass. Really nice if you want a great unplugged rock sound. Definitely NOT a folk guitar however. It loves a good thrashing too and just sings better the more you spank it. (Kind of like an ex-girlfirend of mine - but that's another story)

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
The stock action is superb. I took it into a guitar store the other day to enquire about a set-up - and the guitar tech played it a bit and said it was one of the best set-up acoustics he'd ever seen. I really can't judge it as it's the only guitar I have and the action isn't as slack as friends electrics. I can say that it is really easy to play however - and several people have commented on the action being superb.
On the finish side - again it is superb. The solid maple back, sides and top look gorgeous - some nice figuring under the cherry gloss. The spruce top look sgreat too. Nice high gloss finish that seems to be almost impossible to scratch.

Reliability/Durability : 9
As for live playing - ask me again next year. You can beat the hell out of this guitar and it just shrugs it off. Drop it on the floor - no problem. It doesn't even go out of tune. The gold hardware looks and feels great. This guitar is built to last.
The only complaint I have here is that there was only one strap button fitted. I will probably get another one put one at some point. Otherwise this would get a 10

Customer Support : No Opinion
Hmmm.....no idea. Haven't needed it.

Overall Rating : 10
Well - I bought this as my first guitar. Reduced from #369 UKP to #229 UKP including a gig bag, spare strings etc......
I love this guitar - and even tho the shop have told me they will give me the full purchase price back if I want to upgrade - I just won't part with it.
At this pric e- I would buy another the same - although if it got stolen, I would probably buy a more upmarket model as a replacement. HOWEVER - as my first guitar, I have nothing but praise for this instrument.
