Made in Korea Fender Acoustic guitar equipped with Fishman piezo electronics. Mahogany back and sides with sitka spruce top. Decent setup for a well priced acoustic electric.

As one other review stated, the setup on this thing from the factory was absurd. Go have it set up with much lower action and the quality of sound and playability will drastically improve. Unplugged, this guitar is lacking a bit in the bottom end department, but it's a Fender so that happens. If you use medium to heavy strings you can remedy this problem, not to mention it will increase the tone as well anyway. The sound unplugged will get very dull very quick as the strings loose their tone, so change them often and you should be ok.
As for plugged in, this guitar is a good value for the money. The fishman setup really brings out the best in the wood of this guitar and does not lack in any tonal dept. I was impressed and surprised how good this matches up to some higher priced guitars when plugged in. Chances are if your gigging with it . . . you'll be plugged into something. So I'll give it a decent rating for affordability vs tone.

To my experience, all my fender stuff has held up within the realm of everyday wear and tear. I dropped my strat (mexican, my beater guitar, don't treat my stuff that harshly) on it when drunk, didn't put as big of a dent as I expected. Survived 4 years of drunken fun at college.

Pretty good. Own lots of fender stuff. Never dealt with HQ, just my local dealer and he's good about it.

Good guitar for the money. Unplugged could be better, but the plugged in sound makes up for it. I own all fender guitars at the moment, a fender roc pro 1000 amp, a marshall jcm 2000 halfstack and a 1965 kalamazoo amp (old gibson). All my fender stuff has held up good and has been reliable.

This Guitar Was Manufactured In Korea But designed in the USA Pendent To The High Standard Of American Fender Accoustic Guitars.
This Guitar has a great scale of frets 21 to be exact, the body is a very hard wearing Mohogany solid top (I think it is a solid top) which has been expertly painted with very thick lamination Viniere.
Supported with the best Fender graphic available at the time The Fishman 4 a professional pre-amp that would outclass anything of the competition.
Classic Dreadnought The kind Elvis Would Have Used!
A Briliant looking guitar Which really took my dad back 50 years when he played on it and still is great today.

Ahhhhh The sound
I understand what the guy in the first review was saying about the sound and was getting pretty annoyed thinking i bought a well built guitar but with a not so good sound. Untill i relized that the action was completely wrong making it sound this way, so i went down to a music show and got the little white bit in the bridge lowered, making the action 1/3 its origonal state ahhh that's more like it improves the sound unplugged and maked it easy to play.
Still need to make my mind up whether it is fantastic or not, but i can say it is very good for the price and sounds just as good as any other guitar out there. May have a bit of a murky sound with old strings but it is nicer than that black board scratching High sound you get from a taylor of the same price my friend seems to idolise! Just cos its made by a branch of Martin Guitars dosn't meen it's brilliant you know.

Like i said the action was horrible when i bought it but that was down to a #2 piece of plastic which could easily be replaced giving the guitar a fantastic action and a much better sound.
The guitar is exceptionally well built no flaws in the production a very well made guitar that i see nothing wrong with.

This guitar will last longer than me and i am only 17. I was careless once, i picked forgott to close the hard case catches with the guitar inside and lifted it up and it fell about a meter onto a desk and then onto a chair leg face down, i was frightened to pick it up and turn it round to see what damage i had done, when i did all i saw was a dint which was about a mm across nothing else was wrong with it i don't think i will be able to destroy this thing at all if my insurance depended on it. This guitar is built to last and you will never need another guitar ever!

Same as the rest of the reviews here. One thing I want to mention though is the lack of a second strap button. What's up with all the acoustics out there with only one strap button? Can the companies not put a second one on there??? This isn't just something about this guitar, but about most acoustics.

I don't really use an amp, so I don't know why I even bothered to buy an acoustic/electric. The sound is alright, but I've found much better for the price. It's not a very expensive guitar, but you would be surprised how many great sounding inexpensive guitars there are out there. Has a really warm sound with BRAND new strings, but after you've played them more than an hour, the sound dies. At first I thought maybe it was the strings but I've gone through every kind of string I can possibly find. I think the thick gloss finish has alot to do with that sound.

The guitar looked incredible. Everything seemed to fit together the right way and there were no visible flaws. The action was just a bit high for my liking, but I guess I can just deal with it. I don't like getting my guitars worked on by anyone, including me, so unless it affects the sound, I don't fix it.

If you're looking for a guitar with reliability, this is the one. I've had this guitar for about a year and a half now and I'm a VERY accident prone guy. I've hit this guitar twice HARD: once accidentally on a door knob while I was running with it (stupid choice) and once I turned around while holding it and slammed it into my friends bent knee. Neither one of these impacts were gentle at all. However, only the gloss was dented. No damage to the wood or sound at all. Very reliable. I would definately take this on stage without a backup. I could try to smash it and I seriously doubt that I would be able to.

Like I said, the reliability is great, but it gets a 7 for the sound. I just bought a new Taylor Big Baby for $325 and it sounds a WHOLE lot better than this guitar. Overall, I would reccomend this guitar to someone who wanted only reliability or someone who liked a rather dull sound. I haven't been playing very long (about 4 years), but I know what sounds good and what doesn't. This sound is medioker (sp?). If this were lost or stolen, I probably wouldn't buy another one, simply because I found a better value in the Seagull S6+ and the Taylor Big Baby. I'd buy one of those.

This Guitar was made in 2000 Korea. 20 Frets with solid spruce top, premium mahogany back and sides. 4 band EQ by Fishman and Fender Piezo under saddle pickup which makes it a active system. Neck is mahogony and fingerboard is rosewood along with the saddle. Tuners are standard chrome diecast. Standard neck medium radius. It has strap buttons on front and rear of a decent size. The rear endpin jack is solid looking with tight fit when plug is pushed in.It also has a compensated saddle which goes a little more to improve intonation. It has a very deep cuttaway so very easy to get to higher frets.

The sound suits my style which is varied Christian rock, rhythm and flat picking. The natural accoustic sound is very bright and a little thin on the bass side but has nice sustain and zing. I hope that it will get richer as it ages. While the natural sound is not outstanding it is very good thru the pickup and the 4 band Eq allows you to add the extra bass into the sound. I have been very impressed with the guitar into an amp or PA. The Fishman classic 4 is a excellent preamp. Ideal Guitar for accoustic rock. For the price it is quite impressive. I like the pickup sound but dislike the bright thin natural sound. However it will spend most of its life playing in a amp so does not matter too much.

The action was a little high for me but I soon set it up just the way I like. Fender made in Korea did concern me, but my doubts soon vanished when I noticed the excellent workmanship. Excellent gloss finnish with no flaws. Joint and edging really well done. Inside where some guitar makers skimp a bit is really good. Tight joints, ribs sanded smooth and surfaces smooth, under top for eg. Looks like USA quality control is alive and well in Korea. Bridge is compensated and fits perfectly into saddle. Overall very nicely made.

I have been playing 30 years on and off. Quite a lot now. I own a CortSJ5X ; and Ovation 1999 Collectors. Both electric accoustics.
If it were stolen a would probably replace it.It is very good value for the money. I love the deep gloss and excellent overall finnish. I don't like the tuners, they look cheap, but have not given any problems. Grovers would be fantastic.

This Fender was made in China. Solid top spruce. Cut-away dreadnought. It has a thin neck that makes it easy to play. 4-band EQ. Black finish that is beautiful. I bought it new in March, 2000.

It sounds good now, but I think it will improve with age. As it is, it sounds a little tinny, but still good. As the wood ages, I'm sure the tone will deepen and be more mellow. The EQ allows a lot of adjustment in the sound when plugged in.

The action at purchase was great. I haven't had anything changed or adjusted. The neck is positioned well, with the strings pretty consistent along the neck...it plays well on the lower frets.

I have used this guitar in public. It carried well, with and without using the preamp. It has a great sound unplugged. I can't really tell about the finish yet. I rotate this guitar with two others, so I haven't used it extensively...yet.

I've been playing about 25 years. I have a Yamaha FG-345 and an Ovation Balladeer. I love the way the Fender (Miss Lillie) plays, but am looking forward to a deeper sound as it ages. I looked at the new Stratacoustic before I bought this one...the DG-27 SCE is a far better guitar. I love the finish...solid black.

Made in Korea, 20 frets (14 past body), solid spruce top, 4 band EQ, Volume, beautiful mohogany sides and back, rosewood fingerboard, cutaway so access the full 20 frets with no problems... it's a really good looking guitar.

Beautiful acoustic sound. It has a very bright sound, with clear sustaining resonance. The only off-sound I was able to obtain is when it is plugged in, the treble seems a bit too much into the presence, but that can be overcome by adjusting the on-board EQ.

Beautiful. Enough said. The only flaws are some minor flakes in the fretboard, but they are barely noticable. The action up towards the body seemed a bit higher then towards the headstock, but not too badly out of wack -

Seems rather sturdy - at least as acoustic guitars go. I've been playing around on it continously for a couple of weeks now and there isn't a scratch in anything yet...
