Fender Tuners, Rosewood fretboard, Solid Black with some faux mother of pearl in the head. No excetpional features to speak of.

Sound : 10
When I bought it (used) it had very old strings on it and it still had the most beautiful, warm sound. I bought it for $150 on the spot because I wanted to learn how to play guitar. Years and many other guitars later, this is the one I love to play - solely for the sound.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
I kept it in a corner for years before I learned how to play. After replacing the bridge and leaving it unstrung when it sits, the action improved dramatically. The finish is amazingly durable. For the price, a great deal.

Reliability/Durability : 10
I appreciate the fact that it stays in tune forever. This guitar will last for a lifetime and you don't need to worry about keep up with it.

I currently own a Takemine LTD-1998 and I keep it in the case with a humidifier and wipe it down after playing. My Fender I keep on a stand and play every other day. I am currently looking for another one "just in case." I love this guitar for its durability and sound!

I have heard and played Taylors, Martins, etc. and they are exceptional yet for the money - I will always recommend a Gemini III.

This is guitar number 000037. All blsck and bad. Had a buzz when I first bought her, but one turn of the screw fixed that permanently.

Sound : 8
I use this guitar mostly for fingerpicking; the spacing of the strings takes getting used to-(narrow). The sound is impressive, but seems wooden compared to a Taylor.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 7
Action is high. I have just grown to accept it. Finish is awesome: she buffs up nice.

Reliability/Durability : 10
This is the most bomb-proof guitar I have ever owned. It has been around the world 6 times, gone down the Colorado river on a raft and still looks great.

No experience here.

Overall Rating : 10
I have been playing for 43 years. I think this guitar and I will be buried together.

Same as below, but here's the summary:

Made in Korea in the early '90s, 20 medium-small frets, standard dreadnought body style, rosewood fretboard, spruce top, mahogany back and sides (likely laminate). Black glossy finish on the body, neck and headstock. Black pick-gaurd. Faux-mother of pearl "Fender" logo in the headstock. White perfling around the sound hole and the edge of the sound board. The neck is on the narrow side (1 11/16" at the nut, 2 1/8" at the 12th fret) with white pearloid dot markers at frets 5, 7, 9, 12, 15, and 17. Tuners are six individual Gotoh knockoffs. Black plastic nut. A strap button on the bottom of the guitar body (none at the top).

It has all the features you'd expect from a dreadnought acoustic. I give it a 7, due to the quality of the items. It's a "value" guitar, and as such the materials aren't the greatest. Still, for the money, it's a pretty good deal.

Sound : 7
I've recently upgraded to a Gibson J-45 and use the Gemini primarily as a "beater" guitar. I can take it to the beach, out on the boat, to parties, etc. and not worry too much about damage or loss. Compared to the Gibson (NOT a fair comparison, but anyway...) it is pretty plain. Lows are kind of flat and there isn't much "sparkle" to speak of. Mic'ed it sounds flat, but even.

Nonetheless, it doesn't sound bad. It projects well, has a nice, even tone, and stays in tune. With a set of new strings, it sounds pretty good, actually: a little "brassy." It doesn't resonate like a schwanky Martin, Gibson, Guild, or Taylor. It also doesn't require two months rent to take it out of the store.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
The tuners are adequate, the nut is cheap, the bridge was poorly shaped when I bought it, the frets were decent with a few sharp edges, but nothing horrifying. The action was on the high side when I bought it, but I kept it that way for 5 years or so without complaint. Out of the box, it was a "decent" guitar. I'd give it a 6. Not the worst, not the best.

Having said that, investing $50 in a professional setup made a HUGE difference in the playability of the guitar. The guy reshaped the bridge piece, put a new nut on it, lowered the action, and dressed the frets. When I gave it to him he told me, "When I'm done with this thing, it'll be your favorite playing guitar." He wasn't lying.

It's a great guitar if you're a flat-picker. The strings are pretty close together, so it's not the best guitar for finger-pickers. Although it is passable in this department.

The narrow neck has a "D" shape in the back, which fills out a bit near lower frets. It plays very much like an electric, neck-wise. Great for medium and smaller hands.

Now that I've had it professionally set up, I'd give it a 9 in the "playability" department.

Reliability/Durability : 10
One of the other reviewers used the word "tank" to describe it. That pretty much sums it up. The finish is very thick and nearly bulletproof. It's taken its share of whacks over the years and still looks new when I polish it up. It stays in tune well (never underestimate the importance of a guitar that stays in tune!) and the tuners have held up nicely.

A very dependable guitar.

Never dealt with them... Never had to.

Overall Rating : 8
It is what it is: A value guitar. And it's pretty good at what it is, at that. For the money, I'd recommend this guitar to anyone; especially beginners, budget-minded musicians and casual players. For people with smaller hands, it's a great guitar. For someone looking for a reliable "beater" axe, it does the trick, and it's fun to play.

I wouldn't necessarily recommend it for recording or performing live, and it needs a little help out of the box from your neighborhood luthier, but otherwise you wouldn't hate yourself in the morning if you were to purchase one. If you can get one used (and cheap), even better!

Would I replace it if it was lost or stolen? Probably not. But I'd miss it, nonethess.

87 Fender Gemini III Korean made, spruce top, mahogany back and sides, rosewood fingerboard.... I got this old girl from a buddy of mine and at the time I bought it I was sure he was gonna change his mind on the price...paid a whole 300 bucks Canadian for it and to this day I still am convinced I stole it from him.
Its one of the nicest dreadnaughts Ive ever owned and Ive had a few of them.

Sound : 10
She holds her tune, the tone and pitch is excellent and I play a variety of music and styles and this instrument can pull 'em all off.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
the action is wicked...and you dont have to give yourself carpal tunnel changing chords

Reliability/Durability : 10
It was made in 87 and went all over Canada and to this day she is still as good looking as when she was made with the exception of a few little love dings gotten over time that Ive camoflaged.
Everything on this old girl is solid. Like the guy a few ratings back said "Shes a TANK!"

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never had the need to get it repaired or worked on.

Overall Rating : No Opinion
been playing for about 32 years, Ive got an assortment of guitars some that are older than I am.
If this one was ever stolen I wouldnt want to be the person if I was to ever catch them cause I happen to be extremely fond of my Gemini.
I like it because its classy looking, theres a lot of black guitars out there but this one has got that little something that makes it stand out from the others.
Theres only one other guitar that I have found that is as good as far as richness of sound and that would be a cedar bodied Seagull.

its your standard dreadnot style acoustic.
black glossy finish, plain stock tuners, refer to the other review thats what im going by for wood type. but it does seem to be a spruce top and mahogany back and sides.

Sound : 8
sounds real nice, certainly projects sounds well = loud, my style definatley varies, adn i play hard to soft. plenty of dylan and young among the blues. real heavy bottom end, while remaining fairly clear. can be a tiny bit muddy. well balanced sound; mids and highs certainly stand out with the bass. balanced and loud. bright and full with an overall bottom end sound. i do lot with this guitar, its amazing the sounds i get out of it. almost beats my electric when it comes to jamming and diverse ranges, bang, buzz, smooth, sustain, quiet and gentle loud and out there, it goes on. i like it

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
bought used 12 years ago, and i have never needed a setup.
its a tank; tough and smooth.
i havent found a flaw yet.
i mess around with plenty of martins in the shops in hopes of one day buying one; ofcourse the fender doesnt compare, but it probablt cost $1000 less. the action is pretty good, maybe abit stiff, but i play light dean markleys and it plays just fine.

Reliability/Durability : 9
its a tank.
i take care of it; but it has been camping, its spent 3 months living on a small foggy seabird island in maine and i have never had one issue with it at all. mine also has a nice hard shell case to keep it safe and sound.

I don't know when it was made, but it was made in Korea. 21 frets, Spruce top, Mahogany back and sides. Don't know much about the finish, but it's glossy. Dreadnought body, proprietary fender tuners, but they almost never go out of tune. Don't know the scale either, has a rosewood fretboard.

Sound : 10
Sounds amazing, it has a nice, full sound. Has a heavy bottom, and bright mid and high, very balanced. Nice and loud too.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
Sorry, but I don't know what action means. It plays very smooth, and the strings are perfectly spaced. This guitar came perfect, the nut wasn't poorly cut, the tuning pegs aren't too loose or too tight. No flaws at all.

Reliability/Durability : 10
This guitar has been with me in several states, and still holding strong. This guitar has been dropped, stepped on, and thrown without even cracking. The finish is still perfectly intact except where it's scratched from abuse. This is my most dependable guitar, and my only acoustic (not the only one I've played though.)

Customer Support : No Opinion
Don't know.

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing for 4 years. I also own a Gibson ES-335 Reissue, and a Fender American Deluxe Strat. I went into Guitar Center ready to buy a Martin, but changed my mind when I played this. The quality and sound is just so amazing. If I lost it or such, I would try my hardest to find another one. Highly recomended
