Fender Kingman SCE

got this kingman from a small music store in my country, made in China, with glossy natural finish .. single cutaway, with a strat-style neck, spruce for top and laminated mahogany for back and sides. The tuning peg was made from plastic, but still looking good. Got this with a hardcase, and that's all. Oh, and it is equipped with a fishman AERO, which is kinda handy with it's built in tuner, and sounded nice too when plugged in.. totally like the natural finish. combined with the bright colored neck and headstock, looks really 'shiny' !

this guitar screams! really loud and clear, and a little bit on the bright side, but with a rich and full sounds. compared with others at this price range, like Guild and my Alvarez, this guitar really stands out in terms of volume and fullness. the bright sound makes it really nice to play some rhythm like Dave Matthews and some blues, but way too bright and crisp to play jazz and some mellow fingerstyle, so i only use it pretty much for rhythm for now.

This was the last fender kingman available at that time, others have been sold out. so i really can't choose the best looking kingman. the action was high, and the neck was a bit bowed, so it's not really comfortable at first, currently trying to fix it myself. and the pickguard was painted poorly. one thing i noticed is that if i strum it hard, there's this small rattling sounds coming from the fishman eq, maybe just some loose screw or something, and it's not really bothering me now. Other than those few minor flaws, the finishing is perfect !

dunno yet.. because i've just bought it last week. but it looks pretty tough anyway. i'm pretty confident to use it on a gig without any backup. lets just wait and see..

this is the first fender product i've ever had, so i don't have any experience with the fender CS. if there's something wrong with this guitar, i think i'll just walk back into the store and ask them to fix it, while hoping that they still remember me =) ..

this is definitely great for the price you pay.. if it's stolen, surely i'll buy it again ..

I compaire to a Breedlove Passport concert and a Guild within the same price range ($499.00). This Fender actually sounded better than the Breedlove and the Guild. Rich smooth sound, nice low's, crisp highs. I play blues and classic rock and this baby covers all with a sweet ring. Plugged in, the electronics just enhange the experience without any sound diviation.

Had to lower the action. Strings were about 7mm off the neck where the neck and body met. I perfer a hight of about 3.5 - 4mm. That's just me. No finish flaws... No smuges... Had some trouble removing the plastic off of the pick-guard.. One the set-up was completed, played like a dream.

Just picked it up, so no time to really comment. Everthing feels solid and I hope it stands the test of time, like the other Fender products I own.

Too early to comment. Past experience with other insturments has been great with Fender.

I've been playing Guitar and Bass for over 30 years now. This is one of the best acoustics I've owned (I've gone through over 28 insturments). Style is nice and classic. Neck feel is GREAT. If Stolen, I'd prob get another. LOVE FENDER PRODUCTS!!! Check one out if you can, but remember, no two will be alike. I feel I locked out on this one. WOO HOO!!!!
