Unplugged, the guitar is subdued with good tonal qualities across the ranges. Plugged in, it sounds great through my Carvin AG100D amp.
Action, Fit, & Finish

This guitar was designed to play like an electric guitar and in this aspect it comes very close. Barre chords are extremely easy to play. The gloss finish is very attractive and the mahogany wood is dark and rich looking.
Reliability/Durability

The Malibu SCE appears to be solidly built and reliable. I would depend on it and use it on a gig without backup.

The guitar was given to me as a Christmas present in 2006 and I have had no problems with it.

I've been playing guitar for 40 years and own several Martins and 2 Strats. This guitar not only looks good, it is very comfortable to play and sounds great through my amplifier. If it were lost or stolen I would definetly get another one.
